CAPTAIN – George Vallis
George was born in Athens, raised and lived in one of the biggest islands of Cyclades Region, Naxos. He has a maritime family background and since he was a kid he was involved in different sea activities such as jet ski, fishing and various sea sports. He graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Crete as a Captain and he attended an important seminar in AZZURE Yacht Academy with courses such as Yacht Leadership and Management- Yacht logistics - H.R. Management - International Communication- Food and Beverage - Food Service on special events - Yacht Maintenance - Yacht Risk Management- Yacht captain responsibilities and activities - Rules and attitude. After his graduation he had an experience in Cruise Ships but his dream job was to become a Captain in Charter Yachts where he has been working from 2010 until today. His communicative and friendly character will make your holiday trip unforgettable.
ENGINEER– Efstathios Gyftos
Efstathios was born in 1977, a Greek national. He has graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyros and has attended numerous seminars in engineering. He started his career in 1996 on cruise ships and passenger vessels. Since 2013 he has offered his services onboard various yachts such as M/Y Sin, M/Y Absolute King and M/Y Oh Que Luna. He is hardworking and reliable with excellent communication skills. Some of his hobbies are running and water sports and holds a speedboat license. He speaks English and basic German.
CHEF – Michael Alexiou
Michael was born in 1987 in Greece. He holds a Chef’s Diploma from “Le Monde” Institute of Culinary Arts, a diploma in Molecular Cuisine and a degree in Administration of Tourism sector. He has attended many seminars such as Kitchen and Fire control Seminar, HACCP - EFET Food control, Spices and Herbs, Anatomy and Meat cutting, Organizing and Personnel Management at SOFITEL Hotel, Dry Ice & Liquid Nitrogen technique etc.
In his past experience he has worked in many famous restaurants in Greece. He entered the yachting industry in 2014 and since then he offered his services onboard M/Y Absolute King, M/Y Summer Dreams, etc. Michael is a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic Chef with a real passion for preparing quality, healthy and nutritious meals. He has a great knowledge of international cuisines with specialty in seafood. Exceptional record of service, committed to leaving diners with an especially memorable dining experience. Michael creates the best possible flavors to offer superior guest experience. He speaks English and he is married.
CHIEF STEWARDESS – Vicky Boyiatzi
Vicky is 37 years old, a Greek national. She has graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and has attended seminars such as lifesaving, firefighting, first aid survival techniques etc. She has worked onboard M/Y Dream B and M/Y Blue Pleasure. She is a dynamic, well-presented person with a creative and professional approach to her work and she maintains the highest levels of service at all times. She speaks English. She loves reading and travelling.
STEWARDESS – Alexia Stathopoulou
Alexia is a Greek national. Her love for the sea and her free spirit made her enter the yachting industry and since then she offered her services onboard private and charter yachts. She has great communication skills and teamwork spirit. Alexia is a very active person who always smiles and tries to cater to client´s needs at all times. She speaks English and French. She enjoys volleyball and watersports.
DECK HAND – Panagiotis Krounis
Panagiotis was born in 1979 in Athens. He holds a speedboat licence, a bosun´s diploma and all the necessary certificates for his position issued by the Greek Ministry of Mercantile Marine. He has served on board various motor vessels and in 2011 he entered the yachting industry. Before joining Tropicana’s team he had served onboard on-board Capri I and Summer Dreams. He is a hardworking person with strong communication skills and a great team player. Panagiotis speaks Greek and English fluently and he enjoys swimming and driving.

Yacht terms: Plus Expenses
The price includes a professional crew operating your chartered yacht, but all running expenses such as fuel, tax, provisions and any other costs are extra. Calculate between 15-25% for a sailing yacht and 25-35% for a motor yacht on top of the given rate with an APA cash payment made to the ships agent or captain, who will keep an open tap and produce full accounts of all expenditures.
