´El Marita´ a brand new Lagoon 46 built in 2021 available for charter in the Ionian. She can accommodate 8 to 09 guests on board. 8 guests in 4 double bedded cabins plus 1 in the saloon on the sofas. She has two skippers cabins for the crew. She is available for charter from Lefkas or Patras. She is offered with 1 crew member the skipper included in the charter rate. Hostess/Cook is optional according to clients preference.

Apostolis was born in Patras in 1981.He graduated as a primary school teacher from the Educational Department of Patras University in 2003. Apostolis has always been interested in the sea and from a very young age decided that he would also like to turn his hobby into his summer work.
At the age of 17 he started working as a deck hand on crewed motor yachts during the summer period and travelled around the Greek islands many times. He acquired a large amount of knowledge which later on he put into practice when he himself became Skipper on motor yachts and sailing boats. He is a holder of offshore sailing license , speedboat license issued by the Greek coastguard and also is a licensed sailing instructor issued by the Greek Ministry of Athletics.
Apostolis’s passion has always been sailing and this is what he returned to when he graduated from University. He has been skippering on sailing yachts and large Catamarans in the Ionian for the last 20 years and knows the area like the back of his hand. He is also well known for his kind nature and has many clients who visit the Ionian every year just to have him as their skipper.
Apostolis is characterized by his professionalism and sea awareness - assets he acquired while working on crewed VIP motor yachts. He is a holder of offshore sailing license , speedboat license issued by the Greek coastguard and also is a licensed sailing instructor issued by the Greek Ministry of Athletics.
When Apostolis isn’t skippering he is either taking part in sailing races, fishing or else tending to his olives and vines in his village.
Apostolis is a proud father of a daughter. He speaks English and Greek and gets on great with children as they love him.

El Marita Rates / week
The prices shown are for the entire yacht for a week-long (7 nights) charter.Low price: €9,100
High price: €14,500
The high and low prices of this yacht depend on both the number of guests and the traveling season. Send us an inquiry for exact pricing.
Yacht terms: Plus Expenses
The price includes a professional crew operating your chartered yacht, but all running expenses such as fuel, tax, provisions and any other costs are extra. Calculate between 15-25% for a sailing yacht and 25-35% for a motor yacht on top of the given rate with an APA cash payment made to the ships agent or captain, who will keep an open tap and produce full accounts of all expenditures. Unused APA money will be refunded. Inquire for more information.
ADDITIONAL RATE DETAILS
Weekly charter rates 2024:
July and August. Euro:14,500 plus VAT 12% plus A.P.A
June and September Euro:12,800 plus VAT 12% plus A.P.A
April,May and October Euro:9,100 plus VAT 12% plus A.P.A
The prices includes 1 crew member - the skipper, 2 SUP, WIFI up to 10 GB.
Extra expenses: fuel (the yacht is delivered with full tanks of fuel and the skipper refills at the end of the charter), provisioning, drinks, harbour marina fees during the charter, marineros tips if applicable, water during the charter, transfers to and from the yacht upon charterers request. VAT 12% as of today. In the event that the VAT changes any difference will be debited or credited to the charterer.
Optional extra hostess/cook at Euro:1.200 / week
Saturday to Saturday charters
Embarkation: 17:00 Disembarkation 09:30 The yacht returns to her base on Friday evening at 18:00 , the charterer spends his night on board and disembarks on Saturday morning.
Crew Gratuities upon Charterer’s discretion. Customary gratuity is calculated between 10% to 15% of the contracted gross Charter Fee, and is appropriate if the crew has given excellent service.

Two familie travelled to the Ionian sea,
From England and Canada, pale skinned, with glee.
The adventure, they knew not what to expect,
The captain, named Paris, the architect.
Each day, he scouted which bays to explore,
His guests saw many islands and swam to each shore.
At night, he´d tell us stories of his upbringing in Greece,
The families learned about his culture as they sailed on the sea.
Paris was challenged by the racing demons on board,
He won the battle while Innes roared.
The catamaran was perfect, there was so much space,
Showers, ac, a large kitchen, and music filling the space.
A new sport was created, SUP surfing began,
Innes, Freya, Jason and Chris pulled by tender, Paris had no plan.
They sll stood up. The ride mostly smooth,
But then Paris discovered doughnuts, he had something to prove.
He had his crew swim out to the rocks,
To anchor with ropes, or use knots on the docks.
One they were thirsty, Ela´s bar was recommended,
Great music was heard, the evening was splendid.
Souvlaki and Pita, we picked our own fish,
Calamari and ice cream, it was delish.
The cats came up and begged for food,
Deidre fed them dinner, because she isn´t rude.
Eileen kept everything om schedule and made the grocery list,
While Chris crushed beer cans with both of his fists.
The sound of the islands, the bleats of goats,
The cicada chirps, the flapping sails of boats.
Jade, Cloe and Freya read books and tanned,
They shopped for food, cooked, and cleaned, while Innes found the book.
This adventure won´t be forgotten and it won´t be our last trip,
However sailing without Paris will be tough, as he will be missed!

We back in cold Cape Town and the memories of our wonderful week on the Catamaran with Tolis are almost long forgotten.
We are looking into repeating the trip again next year either on 17 or 24 June. Please could you tell us what availability you have. We would ideally like the same boat and the same crew…. Not sure if possible?
