Lela is a true “island girl” and originating from Switzerland with Greek roots. She loves the sea and has resided almost all her life on islands. During the 80ies she lived in Crete, Greece, where she owned and operated a Beach Bar/Restaurant, a Fashion Boutique and a Music Night Club.
After a Caribbean vacation, she thought that living on sea was an even better lifestyle and soon she was sailing her own Catamaran in the British Virgin Islands. Shortly thereafter, and for the following 20 years, Lela accepted charter bookings for her luxury 48ft catamaran.
Hosting guests, provisioning and preparing delightful meals, handling the sailing, arranging diving and managing her yacht, lead to a deep insight about the luxury charter yacht industry. She became a true yacht charter and Caribbean expert.
Being a self-made entrepreneur by nature, Lela created one of the first charter yacht websites, back in 1999. That quickly provided the first online bookings and filled the yachts calendar always to the very last available week, year after year with a proud 40% return guest rate.
Lela started in 2013 to search for the perfect IT specialist, in 2015 she associated with Pascal, and together they founded BoatsAtSea.com.
Lela’s extensive knowledge, in every aspect of the yacht charter industry, as owner, chef, host, diver, entertainer, coordinator, member of yachting associations, the obvious passion and dedication, is to provide clients with the best service in finding the perfect matching charter yacht.
Lela is fluent in German, English, Spanish, Italian OK, French OK.

Sherry, your Charter Broker, is a sailor! She has cruised the gin-clear waters of the Caribbean extensively. Sherry knows the territory. Her knowledge of the islands extends far beyond the finest beaches to visit, which reefs to snorkel, favorite SCUBA dives, and where the best nightlife can be found. You won’t find Sherry’s knowledge in any guidebook.
In 1992, Sherry moved aboard her 43-foot C&C sloop and cruised with her husband from the Virgin Islands, through the Leeward and Windward Islands, to Trinidad, across the Coast of Venezuela, and back again.
During her 10-year “Seabattical”, Sherry started her career as a Charter Broker and has been providing memorable crewed yacht charters for over 25 years. Sara is a real salty girl who was born and raised in Hungary, Europe. She was only 5 years old when she first set foot on a sailboat and she’s been sailing ever since.
She is a girl who wears many hats – she has a law degree, great experience in chartering her own luxury catamaran as crew/chef for many years, she is a certified PADI dive instructor and is even involved in boat building! She has been working as a Charter Broker for Boats At Sea since 2018.
To escape the cold and cruel winters of Hungary, Sara moved to Tenerife, Spain. She was managing a Greek restaurant for 4 years until she met her now-husband, Thomas. They decided to go on an adventure-filled mission and sail around the World - chartering their custom built luxurious sailing catamaran, Pearl and making friends in every corner of the Seven Seas.
She has more than 100,000 nautical miles under her belt sailing the Mediterranean, crossing the Atlantic Ocean multiple times, all Caribbean Islands, Central America and even the Pacific Ocean but her true love is the turquoise water of the Bahamas. She lived on board with her husband for 12 years and explored 90 countries (and counting) all over the World, now with an additional crew member, Daniel (born in 2019).
Knowing most of the yachts and crew personally, Sara has booked more than a hundred luxury yacht charters, finding the perfect match for each of her clients. Whether you dream of a laid back holiday or an adventurous trip to the Islands, she knows the places to go and the right people to take you there!

Lauren has chased adventure for years. After graduating from college with a degree in biology, she put her freshly printed diploma on the shelf and went off in search of a more exotic lifestyle. Her adventures started with two duffel bags (one, hilariously, stuffed with a rather large VCR/DVD player), excellent knowledge of service and fine dining, an open water dive certification from Australia, and a one-way ticket to St. Thomas. She started work in a dive shop where she earned her Divemaster, then made the switch to the water by working on day charter boats.
One fine evening, she met a handsome, seasoned sailor who convinced her to go cruising with him on his 32 foot sailboat, Maoti. She soon moved aboard (ditching the huge dvd player in the process) and they began working together on crewed yachts as captain and chef. Today, they’re married and co-manage a private luxury yacht charter along with raising their two boys and border collie on the beautiful island of St. Thomas.
To date, Lauren has sailed over 8,000 nautical miles in the beautiful Caribbean and beyond, and has explored 5 continents and counting. She has sailed to Venezuela and back, explored the Virgin Islands extensively, crossed the Gulf of Lion, sailed the Whitsunday Islands, and made the voyage from St. Thomas to Charleston, SC 3 times. After 16 years of life in the islands, she is delighted to share the perfect weather, excellent cuisine, vibrant culture, and turquoise waters of the Caribbean with her yacht charter clients.

A true sailor at heart!
Pam grew up in Florida, and has been boating and around the water all her life. She grew up fishing, waterskiing, snorkeling and surfing. The first time she stepped foot on a sailboat it was “love at first sail”! And she’s been hooked ever since. Together with her lifelong-sailing hubby, Graham, they set sail for the high seas! They spent 12+ years cruising the Atlantic seaboard, Bahamas and the Caribbean. They both earned their captain licenses and Pam became an ASA instructor – teaching others what she loves so much! She also spent several years as serving as a freelance captain. From growing up in the south, she also has a strong sense of hospitality and great food. This eventually led to an opportunity for them to serve as a captain/chef team on a 56’ catamaran in the Virgin Islands and Caribbean, which they did for over 5 years.
In time, aging parents and young grandchildren brought them back to Florida where Pam decided to help others experience this unique vacation by becoming a charter broker. Pam knows that a crewed charter yacht vacation is truly a special experience and she loves to help “first timers” experience that spectacular vacation! Her intimate knowledge of the cruising grounds, yachts and crews is a valuable asset for her clients!

With firsthand experience crewing aboard yachts such as a Fountaine Pajot Saba 50, and years spent touring, inspecting, and sailing charter vessels across the Caribbean and U.S. coastal markets, Michelle brings invaluable insight into yacht quality, crew dynamics, and guest experience. She has built trusted relationships with many of the top captains, crews, and yacht managers throughout the islands, allowing her to guide clients with confidence and an insider perspective.
Michelle is an active member of the charter community. She is an accredited broker with the Charter Yacht Society of the BVI and also an active member of VIPCA, and IYBA. She regularly attends the major charter yacht shows to ensure she always has the most current knowledge of yachts, crews, trends, and destination updates.
Before joining BoatsAtSea, Michelle built and sold a successful service-based business and held corporate roles in sales and contract management with major firms. Adventure has always been a driving force in her life. Originally from Hungary, Silvia moved to northern Spain in her early twenties before setting off on an exciting career aboard cruise ships. During her years at sea, she explored the Caribbean and Mexico, while her love of adventure also took her backpacking through Argentina and Peru and exploring the vibrant culture of Cuba.
After her time at sea, Silvia spent two more years living in southern Spain before returning to Budapest to earn a degree in Hospitality Management. Alongside English, Spanish was her additional language of study. It was during her college years that she met her future husband, a Greek architecture student.
Together they moved to Greece, where they opened and successfully ran a live music bar for several years. After welcoming their three children, a son and twin daughters, they decided to sell the business and embrace a new chapter focused on family life.
Through her friendship with Sara, Silvia was introduced to the world of luxury yacht charters and joined the BoatsAtSea team. Today, she manages the back-office operations, coordinates charter paperwork and supports the brokers to ensure every booking runs smoothly. She also attends the Greek and Croatian yacht shows each year, continually expanding her knowledge of yachts, crews and destinations.
Fluent in Hungarian, English, Spanish, and Greek, Silvia enjoys working behind the scenes to support the brokerage team and help ensure every charter runs as smoothly as possible.

His profound knowledge in both the IT and the travel industry has given him a good sensibility to understand the user's needs in chartering a yacht.
