ALEX COSMAKOS - CAPTAIN
Alex was born and raised in Orange County California. He grew up at the beach enjoying spear fishing, scuba diving, surfing, and boating. Alex started as a deck hand at eighteen years old in Santa Barbara California, and took over as a captain of a 90´ at the age of twenty-one. Alex has been the captain of boats in Mexico, Hawaii, up and down the Eastern Seaboard, the Caribbean, and Alaska. Alex not only holds a 500-ton captain’s license; he has been a captain for over a decade, running everything from fishing boats, catamarans, and jet boats, to motor yachts up to 112´.
Alex has made it his life’s work to celebrate other people’s vacations with them. With the recent birth of his first son, Zale, Alex is looking forward to introducing Zale to the joys of yachting.
STELLA DOBLE | CHIEF STEWARDESS
Stella was born and raised in Aspen, Colorado. She currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She grew up hiking, camping, skiing and rafting in Aspen and has worked in the service industry since she was fourteen years old. Her roles included bartending, serving and cooking. She attended college in Arizona and has a bachelor’s degree in studio art. She became interested in yachting in 2016 after meeting some yachters on a trip to Belize. Her hospitality background drew her to the industry. Moving on to yachts has given her the ability to bring her service skills to the next level. With Stella’s hospitality experience and her outgoing personality, she is a great asset to the Jopaju crew and will make guests feel comfortable the moment they step onboard. Stella enjoys skiing, camping, biking and painting.
JOSEPH ALBERT | CHEF
Joseph was born in Waukegan, Illinois and raised in Burlington, Wisconsin. He currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Joseph got into the yachting industry in 2013, to further his skills while traveling abroad and to learn foreign techniques and ﬂavors. He was classically trained in French cuisine, with an American fusion backbone. Aside from yachting, his experience has brought him to many land-based estates as well. His cooking styles are inﬂuenced by Southern soul food, East Coast Seafood, Caribbean, Baja Mexico, Japanese and Korean Street food, Italian, Mediterranean, German, Polish and Himalayan cuisines. Joseph enjoys challenging his cooking techniques, and Joseph will surely bring the most memorable creations to your palate. With Joseph onboard, rest assured you will experience amazing cuisine to remember for a lifetime to come. Joseph enjoys skiing and hiking.
KARL WALCZAK | MATE
Karl was born and raised in the North-West of England, in the city of Manchester and emigrated to South Florida after completing Grammar school at the age of 16. He then studied Hospitality and Tourism while working in his family´s chauffeured transportation business. He took on many positions from chauffeuring to event management and realized he had a passion for providing memorable, guest experiences to clients.
Karl has been a boater for the past 5 years and has taken many trips over to the Bahamas to fish, scuba dive and to just enjoy the Bahamian waters.
Karl´s father was a diving instructor, which gave Karl interest in the sport, who is a PADI Open Water Certified Diver and also enjoys exploring new cities, running and yoga.
LILI PODUSZLO | DECKHAND — STEWARDESS
Lili was born and raised in Boca Raton Florida. Attended University of Miami and received her bachelor’s degree in foreign Affairs. Lili loves sailing, travel and the Ocean so decided to try out yachting this year. She started on a 37 meter and we are lucky to now have working on Motor Yacht Jopaju. She has worked in the service industry for several years to help pay for college and has a Mixology Certiﬁcate from Bowles School Academy in Germany. Make sure you try out her Tai Basil Margarita. Yacht terms: Plus Expenses
The price includes a professional crew operating your chartered yacht, but all running expenses such as fuel, tax, provisions and any other costs are extra. Calculate between 15-25% for a sailing yacht and 25-35% for a motor yacht on top of the given rate with an APA cash payment made to the ships agent or captain, who will keep an open tap and produce full accounts of all expenditures.
