New Year’s 2022-2023
DELIVERED MORE THAN PROMISED!! (AGAIN!!)
Kim and I are Vince and Judy’s First and Only “ThreePeat” clients to date, and the memories and friendships that we have created are second to none. We asked them to plan our itinerary (this time in the BVI), and they nailed it every time and exceeded our expectations. Their attention to detail is over the top, and I highly respect them.
From the minute you are welcomed aboard by Vince, Judy, and a couple of barks from Jake (The Boat Dog), you know that you are at the right place, and the fun never stops until you get off Chaos Interrupted at the end of the journey. I don’t have to go into too many details, as the reviews posted since the beginning of their venture are very accurate. Captain Vince ensures we get there safely with our cocktails made to perfection. Judy, in my opinion, is a Michelin 3-Star Chef and is Vince’s right hand!
Jake is fantastic to snuggle with and serves as the director of security by barking at a dingy passing by. It’s such a joy to have them join us ashore, have lunch and dinner and hear about their journey. We are blessed to have spent Kim’s Birthday in March of 2021 and celebrated New Year´s with them in 2022 and 2023.

My sister treated me and three of our adult children to a fabulous Christmas week exploring the BVI aboard Chaos Interrupted. Her diligent research to find the right boat and crew paid off in spades!
We connected with Judy and Vince immediately and proceeded to have an outstanding adventure—laughing and playing like we’d known them all our lives. They are talented, gracious, competent, and FUN guides and hosts, dedicated to providing a “Trip of a Lifetime” experience. With us, they certainly succeeded.
Vince completed my sons’ SCUBA certification with patience, humor, and excellent instruction. Although Judy was often in the background working hard to make sure we were well fed, we had lots of chances to experience her beautiful warmth and charm. These two are perfectly matched to each other and to their calling.
No bar in the BVI could match Vince’s Yappy Hour blended concoctions, and we certainly tried a few. We love Jake the Boat Dog. We highly recommend Chaos Interrupted!
Happy sails to you!

Where do we even start? Our trip to the BVI with Chaos Interrupted was a once and a lifetime experience. Every day was filled with wonderful meals, picturesque locations, and relaxed vibes. Chef Mate Judy and Captain Vince were able to take us away from our hectic lives and change our clocks to Island Time!
Traveling with an 8 and 10 year old would intimidate even the most polished hosts, but not Judy and Capt. Vince. The care and attention they showed our entire family, young and old, is unmatched. The lifelong memories our family was able to make, without all of life´s distractions, were priceless. We will be forever grateful for the trip they shared with our family.
It wouldn´t be proper to leave a review without mentioning the show stopper, Jake the Boat Dog. Jake is a warm, calm, and loving presence on the boat. After such a wonderful trip, we hope to have our Chaos Interrupted again very soon!
Chris, Brianne and Family
Everything about this experience was top notch. We booked a year in advance and had so many questions since it is such a unique trip. Judy was very communicative, set expectations appropriately and removed any apprehensions to get us comfortable prior to boarding. Follow their recommendations about packing lightly! You´re in swimming suits every day and you´ll end up bringing home a lot of clean clothes.
Each morning you wake up in a spot more beautiful than the previous day. Snorkeling is great, swimming with sea turtles, laying on the front bean bag chairs while sailing or capturing the breeze on the flybridge with coffee in the morning. Each night you´ll have ´map time´ with Vince to determine your preference for activities the next day. They setup a projector for movie night off the back of the boat and tailor everything to your preferences.
Jake the Boat Dog is super chill and made us dog lovers feel at home. We caught a few mackerel while sailing, did standup paddle boarding and floating almost every day. The Lime Out floating taco bar is a MUST. You cannot see this many beautiful places in the USVI by land. It´s nice to have your own air-conditioned room, bathroom and shower, along with Wi-Fi on the boat. Judy cooked amazing gourmet meals every day. The presentation and flavor was impeccable, and every meal was HEALTHY! Fresh fruits and vegetables at each meal left you feeling great the entire trip. Vince always made sure you had a drink in your hand (if you wanted it) and made fantastic island cocktails (try the PAINKILLERS!). They´re genuine folks and make sure you´re enjoying yourself every step of the way. Highly recommend it!

As a travel agent, every year I check off a bucket list trip by getting together a group of friends and family and whoever else would like to join us on our next memorable adventure. This year’s vacation living aboard the catamaran Chaos Interrupted for a week sailing the USVI did not disappoint.
First mate/chef Judy worked hard organizing and planning our weeks food and drink menu according to our requests. She spoiled us with her creativity and cooking skills. The delicious meal selection and its presentation was a perfect balance enjoyed by all. We never went hungry or thirsty. Captain ´Rockstar´ Vince did an awesome job of creating an itinerary and navigating us around to the most beautiful bays and beaches in the Virgin Islands where we could utilize the great selection of water toys onboard, swim, snorkel, hike, play on the beach or just relax listening to your choice of music. Some stops you could shop, dine onshore, or dine in the water such as one of our favorite stops, Limeout, a floating taco and drink bar. Vince is a great bartender and has mastered one of the local popular and must try drinks, The Painkiller´.
If you love dogs, ´Jake´ the boat dog, makes this floating house a home. He´s a well-trained, loving, black lab. He likes the shade and mostly sleeps. But he does come around to do periodic checks on everybody to make sure all his peeps are still safe and will gladly accept any love you want to give him in return. This husband-and- wife team wear many hats onboard and work tirelessly together to make your trip special. In this chaotic world we live in, grab some of your favorite friends and family like I did, and get yourselves a trip aboard Chaos Interrupted!

INTERRUPT YOUR CHAOS!
What an AMAZING trip! From start to finish Vince had a plan totally custom to our family. He listened to what we wanted to do and tailored a trip exactly how we wanted it, all the while making everyone feel safe along the way. Judy took it to the next level making meals that ALL of us (even an extremely picky eater problem child) enjoyed. Judy even got her to try some things she never would have and now loves. The two of them even helped plan a surprise on our trip that was pulled off flawlessly. As good as Judy and Vince are, Jake the Boat Dog made the trip feel like home and welcomed us with open paws.
Thank you Judy, Vince, and Jake for a great trip! It truly couldn´t have been better.

TRIP OF A LIFETIME, NOW WILL BE A REPEAT TRIP
This was to be our ´Trip of Lifetime´... as the planning began years ago. We were not disappointed! This was such an amazing week! The snorkeling, diving, anchoring in different coves and bays every day, the gourmet meals, the peace and quiet, the beautiful yacht... and, as importantly, the personal relationships developed with Vince, Judy, and Jake were beyond all expectations and will be treasured forever (or until our next booking!) EVERYTHING was perfect!
We are looking for the next ´Trip of a lifetime, now to be repeated with Chaos Interrupted´ every two years!!

100% SATISFIED CUSTOMER
My wife, myself and another couple did extensive research to find a good match for our fun, relaxing, active, scuba week. We found Vince and Judy and Chaos Interrupted. On our preference sheet, we requested great food, a casual experience, scuba diving, hiking, swimming and great cocktails. Oh, and did I say GREAT FOOD?? We could not have made a better choice.
Vince, Judy and Jake “The Boat Dog” were not only everything we asked for, they are our new best friends. Oh, and the boat…As a boater myself, I’m pretty picky. Vince and Judy are not only top notch scuba divers, they are incredible crew/boat owners. The boat was spotless, everything was in working order and the beds were very comfortable. I was surprised at how much space we had in our staterooms and each stateroom comes with its own bathroom/shower. We highly recommend Chaos Interrupted for your next vacation. We will be doing this again.

TRIP OF A LIFETIME
My husband and I have done a lot of traveling, and this trip ranks number one in our books. The research I did to find the crew that I thought would be the right fit was well worth the time and spot on! Judy, Vince and Jake the Boat dog were the best! The itinerary that they put together and the delicious meals that Judy made could not have been better. She even got me to enjoy mashed cauliflower! Their recommendations for meals off the island were perfect (Lime Out, Pizza Pi, Lovango Resort, Secret Harbor and Sun Dog Café).
Judy and Vince were both able to accompany us on two amazing dives. This was key since one of our group was newly certified. We snorkeled every day and we were able to see so many under the sea creatures including an octopus, moray eel, lobster, stingray, spotted eagle rays and numerous tropical fish. And the turtles… being able to swim with them was so much fun. Judy took us on a beautiful hike for sunset at Ram Head Trail, and the next day they hoisted the sails to head to the last cove of the trip. It was so relaxing and beautiful tacking back-and-forth with Vince teaching us a bit as we went along. Not only are Judy and Vince the best crew for our “trip of a lifetime” they are now our friends for life. We can’t wait to come back again for a trip to the BVI!

NEEDED BREAK WITH CHAOS INTERRUPTED
We own a business that has taken a beating in the last few years. My wife and I needed a rest and a moment or two to catch our breath and refocus. We decided to sail around the USVI. With the help of a broker service, we were able to find a boat and crew that matched our trip expectations. The boat had a great name too, Chaos Interrupted. We spent a week with Captain Vince, Chef Judy, and Jake, the boat dog. It was such a blessing that we did because we genuinely needed the interruption.
While aboard Chaos Interrupted, we visited and snorkeled in almost every bay around Saint Thomas and Saint John and ate incredible chef-inspired meals from Chef Judy. Captain Vince knew exactly where to settle into for the night to enjoy our Yappy hour with Jake. He also knew where to find the most giant lobsters – actual trench monsters. And magically, the crew found the most inspiring and gorgeous sunsets each night.
Our most memorable time was floating at the back of the boat, enjoying the view and each other’s company. Really, the only decisions we had to make the entire time on board were whether to do a third dive or which bathing suitcoverup to wear for the day.
As for the boat, Chaos Interrupted is a smooth riding catamaran with plenty of room to lounge and enjoy the sun. The air-conditioned staterooms are a good size, each with a private bathroom and shower. As a guest, you really want for nothing. They have the boat basically personalized for you. The coolers were full of our favorite drinks, and the onboard bar featured liquors we enjoyed. But honestly, try Captain Vince’s Painkiller. It will get you in the mood to relax asap. Also, try a piece of Chef Judy’s Key Lime Pie. Heaven.
Our only regret is not booking a return sail for next year with Chaos Interrupted. We know a team and boat like this will be busy.
To Captain Vince, Chef Judy, and Jake, thank you all for an incredible break. You all three make Chaos Interrupted what it is – a break from the chaos. Brooke and I were so happy to meet you each and pray that our wakes pass again. Until then, safe travels.
PS: The noodle rope is already a hit on the lake, and we’ve started our own Yappy happy hour. Except our Charlie the lake dog doesn’t do a Jake Lean yet, but he does a Charlie Sprawl. ;)

PARADISE FOUND! SO HAPPY WE TOOK THIS TRIP OF A LIFETIME WITH CHAOS INTERRUPTED!
Our experience with Chaos Interrupted was wonderful from the first time I contacted Judy & Vince for information. From the time we landed at STT to the time we left, everything was taken care of and there was no guesswork. They have preparation down to an art and made it so easy for us. We were given a few route options and were able to cater it to exactly what we wanted. The food rivals a high-end restaurant in taste and presentation. I was amazed that Judy made many meals from scratch. I was never a fan of Key Lime Pie, that changed when I tasted Judy´s creation...down to the pie crust made from scratch. Vince answered all of our questions about the islands as we traveled around paradise and was very knowledgeable about wildlife as well. Jake the boat dog was very loveable and made us feel at home - we LOVED having him as a host!
There´s not enough room available here to explain how happy we are with Chao Interrupted. Scenery, food/drinks, hospitality, relaxation, it´s all part of the Chaos Interrupted experience. We truly feel like we have lifelong friends with Vince, Judy & Jake. BOOK IT NOW!!! :)

AMAZING TRIP, AMAZING CREW, AMAZING MEMORIES
As an obsessive planner, I spent months researching chartered catamarans. After looking at what seemed like hundreds of boats and crews, there was one that stood out - Chaos Interrupted. I didn´t realize it at the time, but this owner/operator team meant we would be guaranteed to vacation with the crew (and dog!) seen online. The communication prior to our trip was incredible and we felt like the itinerary was planned around our wishes. From the moment we stepped on board, we felt relaxed, comfortable, and in the company of friends. Vince and Judy spare nothing to prepare for the trip and seek to make the experience as carefree as possible.
Our party consisted of myself and husband, as well as one other couple. As close friends we knew we´d be fine together on a boat for 7 days, but what about with strangers we´d never met? It was a complete nonissue. Not only are they are incredible about providing space, but we found it much more exciting to include everyone in our shenanigans. Turns out, Vince is that big brother type that you can pick on, picks on you right back, but also wants to make sure everything is safe and professional. He also makes the best Painkillers on the islands. And Judy...(Judy, Judy, Judy) could not possibly be nicer OR a better chef. Her culinary skills were incredible and from our very first appetizer to our last breakfast, we were in awe of her talents. I have to also mention Jake the Boat Dog. As an essential member of the crew, Jake provided furry love, entertainment, and was a wonderful part of our week.
One of my favorite aspects of the trip was the lack of required decision making. Vince took exceeding care in developing an itinerary for us and offered us the option of modifying. When we indicated we wanted to make no decisions this week, he told us where we’d go and where to jump out of the boat and snorkel. The combination of amazing food, amazing scenery, nightly games, Jake loves, and new friends created a vacation we will never forget. What started out as a bucket list trip has now morphed into a desire to interrupt our chaos more regularly.

FABULOUS CREW, BEAUTIFUL BOAT AND BREATHTAKING VIEWS!
Absolutely wonderful! We have never been on a charter of this magnitude so we really didn’t know what to expect. From the minute we arrived and met Captain Vince and First Mate Judy, I knew this was going to be AMAZING! They truly make you feel like you’ve been friends forever. The accommodations were perfect for our party of 5, we had plenty of room for everything. The food that Chef Judy prepared were out of this world (she even shared a recipe with us). Captain Vince served up the best cocktails too, I am obsessed with the Painkiller cocktail now! I loved that every morning I could wake up and enjoy my coffee with a spectacular view!
We would definitely charter with them again. They were so knowledgeable about the islands and went above and beyond for us! FYI- don’t challenge Capt. Vince to music trivia, he will always win! I also have to talk about Jake the Boat Dog. I love Vince and Judy, but Jake was hands down my favorite. He’s the sweetest fur baby and I’m so happy that I can still follow him and his beach adventures on IG. We still talk about this trip to anyone that will listen and cannot wait to do it again! Thank you, Vince, Judy and Jake for making this so special!

THIS TRIP EXCEEDED OUR VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS!
Catamaran Karma on Chaos Interrupted! What a wonderful trip, and one we’ve vowed to ourselves to take again soon. While Covid prevented us from going to the BVIs, Captain Vince and Chief Mate/Chef Judy ensured we never felt limited and led us through a wonderful world in the USVI. Beautiful water, sunny skies and relaxing times were our everyday life as we truly felt welcomed into Vince’s & Judy’s life and home.
Vince and Judy were exceptional dive masters on our dives, providing the necessary guidance for all to have comfortable and breathtaking experiences. We had opted for half-board to ensure we had some island dining experiences but our group quickly realized that Chef Judy was an amazing cook, providing meals we can only hope to replicate back home. We had extremely high expectations for our trip, and I can say that Vince and Judy (and Jake the boat dog) provided a trip that exceeded those hopes! Let’s go again!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: OUR CHAOS WAS INTERRUPTED
I read A LOT of reviews. I write very few. After studying all of the S/V CI reviews and learning through them what Captain Vince and Chef Judy create for their customers / passengers, I looked no further when booking my 4+ decade long ´bucket list´ item: a private catamaran charter, island hopping around the USVI.
No shirt - no shoes - NO worries: Service galore! ´All inclusive´ doesn´t begin to describe what Vince and Judy provide. Sure, you get all the food you want, all the drinks you want, all the activities you want, all the fun you want - but also all the downtime you need. They create an experience tailored to your personal desires but also guide you to adventures you didn´t know you were looking for. They are the perfect mix of business owners / friends / and family, and they are adept at knowing when to be each.
Judy´s food was amazing! Her professional cooking school training and the self-study she has undertaken, allow her to create meals that were hands down better than any food we ate on island. Easy to talk to, versed on business development, a great communicator both prior to our vacation and during, as well as a patient and competent dive instructor, she´s the complete package.
Vince will ease any hesitation you may have about being on a 45´ vessel in open water. As captain, he is calm, cool, collected and very competent. You will not once question his skills or ever feel uncomfortable while on the yacht. As a dive instructor he challenges your skill set to be a better diver while answering any questions and easing any apprehensions you may hold. And he is an Auburn man. For those of you who know what this means, it means everything. WDE!
Let me end by saying this: if you have ever wanted this type of experience or if you just think you might like it, stop now. Contact Judy and book a week with S/V CI. Like right now! This season is sold out. Next season (which starts 8 months from now) is 50% booked. Don´t wait or you´ll have to settle for second best.

FAMILY WEEK OF FUN
We enjoyed our time on Chaos Interrupted so much! Vince and Judy were wonderful hosts and it was the perfect way to introduce our boys (ages 10, 8 and 8) to the USVI. We had so much fun and made so many wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Captain Vince and First Mate Judy wear so many hats-it’s very impressive!
Captain Vince not only captains the ship but also leads snorkeling expeditions, subwing adventures, sets up movie nights, and is an uno ultra-marathoner! The boys loved spending time with him and he was great with the kids. He even took our oldest snorkeling after the rest of us finished up and they saw a reef shark-our 10 year old’s claim to fame of the week!
First Mate Judy is not only an excellent chef-just ask our oldest about his birthday chocolate chip cookie sundaes with homemade whipped cream, but she was also great teaching the boys so much about the islands. She was so wonderful after snorkeling getting out the fish books to let the boys identify what they saw to document in their travel journals. She also took us on a hike to Annaberg and taught us the history of the sugar mill plantation.
Their crew is rounded out with Jake the Boat Dog who will always be one of our boys’ favorite parts of the week. He is the sweetest dog and our family just fell in love with him.
We spent our days motoring or sailing to new coves after breakfast each morning and then snorkeling, paddle boarding, having beach time or just relaxing with books on the boat while the boys had a great time playing on the large mat off the back of the boat. We couldn’t have written a better story for a family vacation. Getting to watch our boys take in the beauty of the USVI for the first time and getting to do it with a trip full of adventure in their eyes and still time for the relaxation my husband and I needed-perfect combination. We highly recommend!

We have had the most phenomenal trip ever! Judy’s cooking was AMAZING and was the highlight of the trip! Both Judy and Vince were a joy to hang out with as well (Jake too!). We sailed alongside a huge pod of dolphins when we went to St. Croix and did tons of snorkeling. Definitely well worth it!! Currently sitting at the airport terminal to fly home. So sad to be leaving. Thanks again for helping with the arrangements!!
An Unforgettable Trip!!
Our family of four spent an unforgettable Christmas week aboard Chaos Interrupted with Vince, Judy, and Jake (their dog) and it was by far one of the best trips our well-travelled family has ever taken. Although it was a rather last minute decision, it ended up being an amazing time and a phenomenal experience that we would do again in a heartbeat. Both Vince and Judy were so personable, easy to get along with, detail-oriented, helpful, and were always willing to cater to our family and our needs. Before we arrived, they created an itinerary based around our family´s interests and desires planning for hikes, runs in the morning, beach time, snorkeling, paddle boarding, movie or game nights, fishing, and so much more. An unexpected highlight of the trip was the AMAZING food we had aboard. Judy had planned out a Michelin star-worthy menu (no exaggeration) for our week including exciting foods like poke bowls, teriyaki salmon, and avocado toast with a twist. Numerous times, you´d hear us utter ´We´re not worthy!´ Judy went out of her way to ensure that our complicated dietary needs were met with alternative options and substitutions. Jake (the boat dog) was a joy to have aboard, he was a loving, gentle companion and truly made this trip even better. We can´t imagine another charter could ever live up to these guys!

ONE OF OUR BEST TRIPS TAKEN!
First trip taken like this - and it was fantastic. Judy, Vince & Jake - top notch hosts & teachers. The boat was beautifully decorated. The rooms were bright and comfortable. The quiet mornings & hot coffee - gentle rains, daily rainbows, gorgeous sunsets - all made for a nice daily arc. The dinners were amazing and creative for a small kitchen space. In late 2020, we had gotten our scuba certifications started in a pool - Judy & Vince were very good teachers for our first actual open water refresher and subsequent two dives (and so patient). Watching Vince catch our lobster dinner and capture invasive lionfish, seeing turtles & octopus & even the two dolphins that greeted us on our first evening, island hikes, Vince´s painkillers - all unforgettable moments. Becoming comfortable in the water - life-changing. Thank you, Chaos Interrupted for one of our best trips.

Yes – thank you for your help and recommendation – it was a very special vacation, Vince and Judy were wonderful hosts and the food and service were out of this world. They and Jake were a perfect fit for our family and certainly something we would like to do again!
THE BEST VACATION WE’VE EVER HAD! It was pure unexpected happiness and relaxation - nothing is a coincidence. It was the perfect mix of adventure, good time, fun and friends, and GREAT FOOD!!! The best way to say it - is that this is a trip we will recommend and REPEAT!

A TERIFFIC SUCCESS FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE FAMILY REUNION!
We were looking to do something special together with our children and their partners in connection with Leif’s 70th birthday. After looking at different options and considerations we settled for an All-inclusive private yacht charter, as both we and the children are comfortable on boats. As luck would have it, we chartered Chaos Interrupted, which turned out to be a terrific success for an unforgettable family reunion.
We all enjoyed swimming in the warm turquoise water, some snorkeled, Fredrik scuba dove with Captain Vince, paddle boarded, kayaked, danced, stargazed, hiked and sailed!
Some enjoyed relaxing and reading in the bean bag chairs and some were perfectly happy resting in the shade on the fly bridge cuddling Jake the boat dog! Daniel was promoted to deckhand, since he helped fist mate Judy when tying-up the boat at our anchorages.
Fantastic to be able to see up close the sea turtles and different kinds of fish. Captain Vince snared a lobster on a dive and from which Chef Judy prepared a fabulous lobster ceviche for us.
First Mate Judy is an amazing Chef, who turns out an incredible variety of dishes from her compact kitchen/galley, for breakfast lunch and dinner. Vince perfected mixing The Sinatra Smash, an excellent choice of cocktail.
Judy guided us to see the Petroglyphs and along the trail we saw many colorful land crabs, and we came upon dear at Annaberg sugar mill. On the bus ride back from the Windmill Bar we drove past wild donkeys that roam the island. Also, some goats were wandering the beaches.
Thank you, Captain Vince, Chef Judy and Jake (the Boat Dog) for an amazing six-day cruise around St. John on your wonderful yacht Chaos Interrupted. It was an unforgettable family reunion; we had a great time and created many lovely memories.

From the moment we stepped onboard until we disembarked it was the most relaxing yet adventurous experience I, we ever had! Cap. Vince and First Mate/chef Judy are such a joy to be around, easy going, and knowledgeable about fun as much as they are about the sea.
They worked with our entire family prior to the trip and assisted in crafting the perfect trip, and provided a few pleasant surprises along the way. If you wanna scuba, relax, swim, relax, hike, dance the night away in a local island/harbor bar and relax they got you covered!
The cooking, I just can’t say enough about it, it was amazing! I felt like I was in episode of No Reservations during every meal (the smoked tuna dip, the fresh caught lobster (complements to the chef and the captain), grilled lobster, jerked fish, smoothie bowl, and I could just go on and on), each meal was truly something.
Each day was better than the one before, and each night was more special. The bays filled with sea turtles, stingrays, and beautiful white sand and clear blue water. We snorkeled and just flopped around on all the floatable activities Chaos Interrupted had to offer.
I could go on and on but you should just go experience it for yourself!

TRIP OF A LIFETIME!
Our experience with Chaos Interrupted was beyond our expectations!! From the warm welcome coupled with amazing meals from Chef Judy, we really lived our best lives for the week we spent aboard Chaos Interrupted. Every meal Chef Judy made for us was mouthwatering and delicious and Captain Vince was full of knowledge and not shy from entertaining us and keeping our kids awe struck by the ocean and the incredible views.
I think for us the best part of our trip was seeing our 2 girls who were nervous about everything ocean/creepy fish/SHARKS were fearless after the first day. Vince and Judy really helped make the girls feel comfortable in the water and that meant so much to us! We could hardly get our girls out of the water to eat lunch they really enjoyed themselves so much. Two months later and they’re still talking about their experience.
We celebrated our 10 anniversary onboard and would not have wanted it any other way. Chef Judy and Captain Vince went out of their way to make every bit of our trip amazing! We will be making plans soon to make this trip happen again.
Lastly Jake, he loved on all of us and especially made our daughter´s trip so wonderful. He seemed to always find her to take his naps, and knew she’d drop treats for him while she ate.
We loved everything about our trip and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the everyday grind and needs time to rewind and experience something breathtaking. Thank you Vince Judy and Jake for all the love you shared with us.

Let me start with ´WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!´ We were looking to do something extra special for our 25th wedding anniversary and they nailed it! Captain Vince, Judy (amazing chef) and Jake the Boat Dog went above and beyond to make our special day into an unforgettable week! Every meal, every bay, and every activity was specialized just for us! They are wonderful hosts and we can´t wait to sail with them again :-) Thanks Vince, Judy, & Jake!!!!!!!!!
ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME! Vince, Judy and Jake the Boat Dog were the most gracious and wonderful hosts. From the moment we stepped onboard, we only had to ´worry´ about which activity we wanted to do in the moment. We snorkeled, scuba dove, swam, sailed, napped, hiked, paddle boarded, played games on the beach, danced, kayaked, read, drank fresh cocktails and ate wonderful food.
They are now like family and we can´t wait to return in April 2022. (Yes, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked our return trip before we left the boat!) I would encourage you to book soon, say yes to all the things and trust their recommendations for interrupting your chaos!

FUN! FUN! FUN!!!! That’s the best summary I could give you! Seriously- this was the best trip we have ever gone on. Judy and Captain Vince were a pleasure to hang out with for the week, and we are looking into another trip with them soon!!
They really did an amazing job with our week. It all started with the preparation process. They individualized the entire itinerary, along with the meals with dietary requirements and tastes, with the best that can be done (given restrictions on items that may not be available on the islands). We had a dedicated phone conversation, after completing some “homework” on which to base the discussion on- basically for them to get to know us, what we like, what we don’t like, and what we were looking to do on the trip. Then they put together a sample itinerary, which we could then make changes as we wished. We decided to do a half board, so they made us breakfast every morning, and a certain number of lunches and dinners as well. All the meals that were cooked were excellent, and the meals we had on land were also awesome (all at places which they recommended). She makes the BEST Key Lime Pie- Kudos Judy! They even were so thoughtful with our kids- for example, for our welcome drink on board (my wife loves Prosecco) – they found a bottle of non-alcoholic Rose so the kids could also toast with us. What a great start that was to an awesome trip.
As an example- we arrived Saturday afternoon, and it ended up raining all day Sunday so we couldn’t really do anything outdoors that day. The awesome thing about this charter is that it’s not like a cruise ship- things you want can be changed- whether it’s for unexpected weather, or you decide you want to sleep in one day that was supposed to be early- they are very accommodating and can make it happen. We were supposed to eat out that day, so they shifted gears and made our lunch on the boat instead. We traveled as a two adult, two teenager family for the week- and we visited. St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix. We spent the week sailing, snorkeling, diving, fishing- but more important, just relaxing!! All four of us, though we don’t necessarily share the same recreational interests, all found something to do and loved it!
Judy and Captain Vince were very patient. I wanted to dive, and my wife wasn’t as keen but was willing to do it. Both Vince and Judy are PADI certified, and they were absolute saints with teaching us all. And I caught some pretty amazing close-up underwater pictures of ocean wildlife.
And a special shout out to boat dog Jake- he was awesome! My kids have been begging for a dog, and Jake certainly didn’t help my case in saying no… He is such a loving dog, and we enjoyed the “Jake lean”. (You will have to book a trip to see what it is!)
Even though we were guests, we felt like we gained three more friends. They are just good people. We had fun with our happy hours (after the boat was docked of course!) with two different types of Martinis, learned all about their journey to how they ended up running this charter- we even watched Pirates of the Caribbean on a projector! My wife had never seen it, so we decided to do that one day after dinner. We also celebrated Captain Vince’s birthday on the boat!!
Unless you’re allergic to a good time, it’s hard for me to imagine anyone having anything but an awesome trip with Chaos Interrupted. And I cannot tell you how appropriate and accurate that name is for how our trip went. I only wish that instead of sitting here writing this review, we were back there right now. You cannot go wrong on Chaos Interrupted- we are trying to book another trip with Judy and Captain Vince for next year!! I wholeheartedly recommend you interrupt the chaos with Captain Vince and Judy!!!
L** Family (May 2021)
WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! My goodness, where do I even begin?! I must start by saying, a private chartered yacht vacation is not something I ever even knew existed until some great friends told us all about it! My husband and I just KNEW we had to try it. I’ve only ever taken one cruise in my life and didn’t really love it; so, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I can now honestly say whether you love or hate cruises does not matter! A private charter is a completely different experience! Be prepared to never want to cruise (on a giant vessel with thousands of strangers) ever again!
We flew into St. Thomas out of Atlanta and just as soon as we grabbed our luggage off the carousel, our driver scooped us off and we headed for the short (10 minute) drive to the marina where Capt. Vince and Judy greeted us with the biggest welcomes! Once on board Chaos Interrupted we were given time to get settled into our rooms. I was so afraid that I would feel claustrophobic (I’m tall enough that I should’ve played basketball) but couldn’t believe how spacious the rooms are! The bed is about hip-height (which allows for bag storage underneath) but you can still sit up while sitting on the bed! Each room has their own bathrooms, small closet and a couple of drawers/storage spots, too! Once we were all settled, our group all met on the fly-bridge for “yappy-hour” and the official relaxing began!
Over the course of the next 7 days we cruised around St. Thomas and St. John staying in a different bay each night. Each bay had its own special character that you’ll never forget. We ate Pizza Pi VI off a that has been converted into a pizzeria (what!?!!)- this was after a day of diving, snorkeling, turtle spotting, and having fun identifying all the sea life. We made the quick float from boat to shore another day just for the cutest little beach bar that serves a famous island favorite - The Painkiller (Capt. Vince makes a pretty mean Pain Killer, too!)! Another day we all enjoyed the swim-up bar at Lime-Out (the Ceviche Taco is the perfect afternoon treat on a hot day!!!). Oh, and I can’t forget my favorite experience - the hour we spent swimming with and observing two massive (4 ft.!) Loggerhead Sea Turtles in just 15 ft of water in Maho Bay!!! You just never get to see them so comfortably in their own environment like that in the states or Keys!!!
I have to mention the perfect mix of boat, water, and land activities is all planned out for you by Judy! On land we hiked (more like a flat walk along the most gorgeous shoreline) to an old sugar plantation, drove past wild donkeys on fun bus ride up to the Windmill Bar which has the world’s best sunset and shopped in the cutest little villas and even danced in the streets to local nightlife music! SO MUCH FUN!!!
What I really love is how these two work together as a team! The planning was all done by Judy - she reaches out before the trip to ensure you’ll love her menu, that they have your favorite drinks on board and they try their hardest to fulfill all of your snacking requests (island grocery shopping is NOT like the USA). This is truly the trip of a lifetime and something you, your loved ones, and your friends will never forget and be talking about for the rest of your lives!!! You’ll want to book your next trip before you even finish the first one!
- You truly will spend most of your time in your bathing suit and a coverup! I came home with too many outfits that were never touched. Wet clothes can also be hung to dry off the side of the boat day and night, so you really don’t need much!
- The deck towels on board are Turkish-towels which double as a coverup! Regular towels are provided in the bathrooms - don’t pack any!
- Pack a GoPro if you have one!!!
- Enjoy game-night around the table in the evenings before bed! Vince and Judy have a selection of fun games aboard!
- Try new things!!!
- Jake the Boat Dog will be your best friend if you bring him a rawhide :P
- For me (I have an old foot injury), sneakers were the best option for the Annabel Plantation walk/hike but my hubs wore flip flops. If you think you may want sneakers, pack ONE pair. We never used our water shoes though.
- AT&T cell service was great - if you need to check in at home and we did not incur any roaming or international charges (USVI).
FUN TIMES! We had an absolute blast sailing with Chaos Interrupted! There were six of us, plus the crew (which includes Jake the Boat Dog!), and the space was comfortable for that number of people. Vince and Judy took us to some amazing places and customized our adventurous vacation according to our preferences. I recommend Chaos Interrupted to experience a different type of getaway with friends or family!

TRIP OF A LIFETIME. This was an amazing week aboard Chaos Interrupted with my husband and 4 of our dear friends! Our week together was full of many once-in-a-lifetime experiences! We especially enjoyed venturing out to enjoy local spots and flavors, Chef Judy´s crab cakes, and breakfast tacos! Snorkeling each day at your leisure with various turtles, stingrays, monster lobster, tarpon, barracuda, conch and other beautiful sea life! The water is crystal clear and the views as we traveled the islands are unmatched! There isn´t a sunrise or sunset you will want to miss! I highly recommend for the adventurous to hop on the Subwing and feel like a ´Real Life Mermaid´! The bar is always open and it´s 5 o´clock somewhere! Don´t miss Capt. Vince´s Painkillers and the various snacks to munch on throughout the day! Jake ´The Boat Dog´, is very well behaved, relaxed, and a sweet addition to the boat! He makes the experience feel like home! The beds are comfy, the linens clean and all of your shower products are on the boat! Turkish towels, sunscreen, snorkels and masks provided. That´s less to bring! Visit Lime Out, the floating taco bar, visit Charles at the Annaberg ruins! There is so much to share and it´s important you experience it! All in all, this is the vacation of a lifetime and we can´t wait to come back!

NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, AND NO BETTER VACATION THAN THIS! Imagine waking up in your room, you walk 10 steps, and there’s friends, food, drinks, and the water. Nobody has to deal with the typical ´wait for everyone to get ready, pile in the car, put your name on the waiting list, wait for forever to eat, then go back to the room, haul everything to wherever you go next, and repeat that 5 days in a row´ routine. With our trip, we started each day at a new location in the US Virgin Islands. Each day was different. But each day started off with 10 steps from our cabin to our vacation.
Chaos Interrupted is based out of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Vince and Judy handled our transportation from the airport to the docks to their boat, which we then received a drink and a short (but handy) safety briefing. We asked a few questions and our vacation began. This trip was tailored to our group, to the things we enjoyed doing, things we hoped for, wanted to try, wanted to see, etc. Vince and Judy made sure we had everything.
For 7 days, we motored and sailed around St. Thomas and St. John, USVI. We visited several coves, both popular and secluded. We ate amazing food. We visited with our friends. We drank. A lot. We snorkeled. We shopped. We laughed. We cried. We relaxed. We did it all. It was All-inclusive. We didn´t have to fool with the constant hustle and bustle of popular vacation spots. Not that I´m saying popular vacation spots aren´t great. We just didn´t have to deal with the ´people on vacation´ traffic. We woke up each day with a plan, beautiful weather, great people, great food, and good drinks!
I could not have imagined a better vacation, one that allowed our group to get away from anything we considered ´chaos´ and just relax and enjoy the ride, literally. The views, the marine life, the relaxation, and the ´no rush´ atmosphere was everything we wanted, and everything we needed. We will definitely be back, not just for the trip, but also to see our friends.
Matt & Anna (May 2021)
INTERRUPT THE CHAOS!!! We had an incredible week on board Chaos Interrupted! I had no doubt the trip would be great but adding Captain Vince, Chef Judy and Jake to our group made it a trip for the books! The scenery was gorgeous, boat spacious, and food beyond expectation. A day didn´t go by without me asking Chef Judy for another recipe. Jake the boat dog became a best friend to all on board! We are already planning our next trip back...the week went entirely too fast! Captain Vince and Chef Judy were wonderful and a dream to work with.
INCREDIBLE VOYAGE. Incredible trip with incredible people and boat...and dog! We were a little worried initially about how they would fit in with our group and spending 7 days with people we had never met before. However, Judy and Vince were so gracious and accommodating, reading cues from our group as to what we were interested in, what foods we like, what time we preferred doing things, and when to let us just relax. In the end we enjoyed them so much that they essentially became a part of our group and we loved every minute of it. One of our best trips ever....we will be back!
Dirk (May 2021)
CAME BACK FOR MORE WITH THIS AWESOME CREW! This was my second trip within a year sailing USVI with Captain Vince and Chef Judy and if possible, it was even better than the first! The crew is able to strike a balance of active and relaxing allowing you to experience many different types of activities. We dived, snorkeled, hiked and had plenty of time to relax, read and enjoy painkillers. Judy´s food is spectacular, especially the key lime pie! We even had the pleasure of enjoying an impromptu lobster ceviche after Vince snared a lobster on a dive. The cabins are clean and well-appointed and the bed is surprisingly comfy! Make sure to visit Lime Out, the floating taco bar and Windmill Bar. I loved having Jake the Boat Dog on board. He gives great snuggles! Will definitely be back sailing with Vince and Judy soon!
DJ (April 2021)
Definitely Interrupted our Chaos!! This was the most memorable and amazing trip ever! Our expectations were set high for this trip and Vince and Judy exceeded them. The accommodations and food were outstanding, and the itinerary that was put together for our group was spot on. We had the right amount of sightseeing, fun & games, relaxation and adventure. We truly enjoyed Vince, Judy & Jake (the Boat Dog)´s professionalism and friendship and can´t wait to do this again!
Landon & Stacey (April 2021)
TRIP OF A LIFETIME. Just returned from the trip of a lifetime! I feel like we had several vacations worth of activities packed into one week without feeling rushed. You cannot beat waking up to the sunrise moored up in a lagoon with crystal clear water! Vince and Judy were extremely organized and professional, but also welcoming and personable. If it gets any better than this.... I don´t know how!

“BEST VACATION EVER! We were a little nervous about staying on a boat for a week, however it was awesome! The food was GREAT and the views / water were awesome. We snorkeled with Sea Turtles, pufferfish, spotted rays, and more. From snorkeling, to paddle boarding, to hiking to tide pools, it was a trip we will never forget. Judy, Vince, and Jake the Boat Dog paid attention to our wants and needs at all times. We are already trying to schedule our next charter to the Virgin Islands!
David & Holly (April 2021)
Best vacation, ever! So grateful for your care, planning, expertise, flexibility, and generosity. The food aboard was spectacular, the views were magical, and the activities and sailing spots were perfect. Turtles, dolphins, pufferfish, and more - what sights while sailing, diving, paddle boarding, kayaking, and of course, floating on the flamingo! You made this birthday and celebration so wonderful. This trip was easy, breezy, comfortable, on a beautiful boat, with plenty of lounging space, and so many options to enjoy the islands. We also appreciated your attention to different preferences and catering the trip to us in advance and on the fly! We will be back!
Kat and Daley (March 2021)
TRIP OF A LIFETIME! READY TO GO AGAIN!! Favorite part...absolutely all of it! Vince and Judy welcome you to their floating home and make you feel like family immediately! Incredibly helpful and fun with our boys (Ages 8 &14) and went above and beyond to make this a trip of a lifetime. Food aboard is outstanding and highly recommend the floating taco bar at Lime Out. They can easily be as active or relaxing as you want and just make it a spectacular trip!!. And of course, you can´t forget the best skipper around in Jake The Boat Dog!!
Ryan, Ashley, Jackson (14) & Jacob (8)
FABULOUS TRIP! What a wonderful trip! Everything was perfect. We enjoyed snorkeling, paddle boarding, relaxing on the water mat and the catamaran, beach time and fabulous food. Judy is a great chef and was able to plan and prepare meals that worked for all of us. Vince made great cocktails. My grandsons enjoyed experiencing new water sports and Vince and Judy were very patient and great teachers. The boat was very clean and comfortable. The turquoise water was amazing. I would recommend this trip to anyone!
Mike & Sharon (March 2021)
WOW!! THE BEST VACATION THAT WE’VE EVER HAD!! We enjoyed celebrating our honeymoon (that got canceled a year ago), anniversary, and my wife Kim’s birthday with Vince, Judy, and Jake. This owner/operator team knocked it out of the park on all levels EXCEEDING our expectations every minute of the trip, so much that we booked our next trip with them into the second day of our journey. Vince always made sure that we had the best cocktails in our hands, and Judy shared her exceptional culinary talent with us. We got to experience some of the local places on our journey, such as The Lovango Beach Club, and Lime Out (The floating taco bar) in St. John, Savant, and The Mutiny Distillery in St. Croix. All of Vince and Judy’s recommendations to these and other establishments did not let us down. Their catamaran is clean from top to bottom and very well equipped with anything that you would like to do during the week, including but not limited to snorkeling, scuba, paddleboards, a huge floating mat, and a kayak. It was such a pleasure to have Vince and Judy dine with us (and have cocktails) on board in the evening, as well as join us for dinners and lunch ashore. Kim and I miss Jake and cannot wait to see you guys at the end of the year.
Shannon and Kim
Fantastic private catamaran vacation! Chaos was Interrupted and batteries were recharged! What a perfect experience! The sea, the beaches, the hikes, the snorkeling, the meals, the cocktails...only to be exceeded by your hospitality, your professionalism, your guidance and (dare I say) your friendship? One of the most relaxing, yet spectacular, vacations we had the pleasure to enjoy. The catamaran was spotless, cabin was extremely comfortable and all of the extras really added to the overall experience. Loved the stand-up paddle boards, the Subwing, the kayak, the huge floating mat, the hammock, the bean bag chairs and the fly bridge!
We wish you all the best in your inspiring journey. We are certain of your success...all the while with a smile on your faces.
Thank you for letting us love on Jake!

We hate to leave. BOOK TWO WEEKS. One week isn’t enough! Diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, hiking, eating, drinking, games, etc. So much to do, so little time. The trip of a lifetime. What else can you say about two of the hardest working, friendliest crew in the USVI? The best crew, food, drinks, sailing, toys and snorkels!
Susan, Rene, Randy, Tina and Bev
“Thank you Judy, Captain Vince and Jake (the Boat Dog!) for the love, care and time dedicated to us! Love you friends. We had a great time living on the boat and you couldn’t be more helpful to make this experience totally worthwhile. The places we visited, the food you provided, the sunsets, cocktails, fun games on board, the morning floats, etc. We definitely want to come back again!”
We just got back from a New Year’s Eve week private catamaran charter on Chaos Interrupted. The owner operators Judy and Vince exceeded all expectations. They were knowledgeable, adaptable and worked so hard to make our trip perfect. The boat was so nice , new, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The food Judy prepared was a 12 out of 10, always delicious and gourmet. They worked with us to plan our trip ahead of time and it was awesome for the 6 of us in our family. They took us scuba diving and gave us personal attention. The beds in our cabins were very comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed. Jake the boat dog was so lovable and a plus to have with us. He was never in the way. We always felt safe with Captain Vince at the helm. We loved our daily paddle boarding and snorkel adventures. Vince led us on a memorable sunset hike at Ram Head. In summary, Judy and Vince went above and beyond to plan, adjust and execute our trip to make it perfect. We would definitely sail with them again and recommend to our friends and family.
Great trip. Words cannot describe the fun we had! Vince and Judy were incredible hosts and made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious! They had everything you could want. Good times. Sad to leave!
