Beyond his professional credentials, Captain Uwe is an avid sailor and water sports enthusiast. CHEF Jose Maria Portas Mompo:
Chef Jose Maria Portas Mompo brings a wealth of experience and passion to his role as a professional chef, both on land and at sea. Based on the beautiful Costa Brava, Chef Jose has honed his culinary skills in renowned restaurants and luxury yachts, blending traditional Mediterranean flavors with modern gastronomic trends. Fluent in Spanish and French, he excels in creating innovative and delicious menus tailored to the preferences of his guests.

With extensive training in molecular cuisine and classical cooking techniques, Chef Jose is known for his creativity and precision. His background includes working in prestigious establishments such as Restaurante Botiga XUP XUP and Restaurante SA COVA, where he managed teams, curated menus, and set high culinary standards. His nautical experience spans several seasons as a chef on luxury yachts, where he expertly manages kitchen operations, from ingredient sourcing and inventory to meal preparation and presentation.

Growing up in a humble family of fishermen, Chef Jose has always had a strong connection to the sea, which is reflected in his passion for water sports and his affinity for maritime life. Outside the kitchen, he enjoys staying active with mountain sports, particularly climbing, allowing him to connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors.

STEWARDESS Mia Van Aswegen:
Mia is passionate, hardworking and able to work efficiently under pressure. She works well with guests and crew members, and she is very patient. She has learnt how to deal with stress, long hours and somewhat difficult people, gracefully and always professionally. Her strengths include compassion, hardworking, beeing well organised and punctual. Mia has worked already on Motoryachts, beeing stewardess and cook. She has a very good eye for table setting and decorations, and will make sure the guests feel like being home from the minute they go on board. Mia holds a Jetski license and also a Powerboat license.

STEWARDESS Carlota Zurita:
Carlota is our latest addition to the crew to ensure that guests enjoy their time on board as much as possible. Born in Tenerife, Carlota is a competent and enthusiastic person who is adept at attentiveness, intuition and proactive problem-solving. She also has a strong emphasis on effective communication and teamwork.
Carlota is an adventurous, active and fit person who loves to travel and enjoys meeting and interacting with people from different cultures around the world, which helps her to practice her language skills. She has a keen interest in personal development, yoga and mindfulness practice, and is also passionate about the world of sailing and surfing.
Carlota speaks Spanish and English and has a basic knowledge of French.

FIRST MATE Steven Streefkerk:
Our First mate and Engineer Steven is a positive and proactive person, always having a smile on his face. He grew up on a farm in South Africa, riding dirt bikes and bicycles. His passion for working with tools started at a young age, fixing his dirt bikes alongside his father. This experience taught him problem-solving and innovative thinking. Riding not only instilled resilience but also encouraged him to push his limits. His trading background of building houses has given him a solid foundation of electrical and plumbing skills easily transferable to yachting. When he is not working, he is surfing the oceans and exploring the world. He also loves Skate boarding and Cycling. Steven holds the Power Boat level 2 certificate and he is Advanced PADI diver.

Shades of Grey Rates / week

The prices shown are for the entire yacht for a week-long (7 nights) charter.
Low price: €70,000

High price: €80,000

The high and low prices of this yacht depend on both the number of guests and the traveling season. Send us an inquiry for exact pricing.
Yacht terms: Plus Expenses
The price includes a professional crew operating your chartered yacht, but all running expenses such as fuel, tax, provisions and any other costs are extra. Calculate between 15-25% for a sailing yacht and 25-35% for a motor yacht on top of the given rate with an APA cash payment made to the ships agent or captain, who will keep an open tap and produce full accounts of all expenditures. Unused APA money will be refunded. Inquire for more information.

Not included:
• Wines from our excellent stock of high quality wines on board. The guests can choose on board, no need to choose in advance. Charged from APA.
