Ahoy there! I´m a sailor with a serious case of wanderlust that seeks adventure on the high seas. I´m a Swiss Army Knife of the high seas. Over 12+ years, I´ve honed my skills on cruise ships, sailboats, motorboats, and tenders. I can handle boat systems with ease, keep things shipshape with
equipment knowledge, and even whip up some hospitality magic to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience. But hey, I´m not all work and no play. I´m easy-going who can add a dash of fun who is more than willing to teach you to sail while you´re on board!
Another big extra is that I am a proven photojournalist with more than 15 years of experience so you would have some photos in the process of sailing and feel free to imagine me heroically fixing a tangled mess of lines with a smile (and maybe a sea shanty on my lips).

Hi !! My name is Ashley and I´m a charter yacht chef currently working in the Caribbean. Originally from South Africa, I bring a global perspective to the galley, shaped by my travels, cultural roots, and passion for fresh flavorful food.
This is my first season in the Caribbean and have I’ve already completed 25 successful charters with more on the way. Before arriving here, I spent multiple seasons sailing across the Mediterranean, where I developed a strong foundation in Mediterranean cuisine and learned the art of adapting to different tastes and charter styles.
Growing up in South Africa gave me a deep appreciation for bold, diverse flavors, and that passion continues to fuel my creativity in The kitchen. Traveling has been my greatest teacher, and I love exploring new cultures through food - each destination adds something unique to my culinary approach.
I’m excited to be apart of this vibrant community and look forward to connecting with brokers, crew, and other professionals through out the season. If you see me around or want to reach out, id love meet, share stories, or just talk food and travel!

Yacht terms: All Inclusive
An all-inclusive charter covers all provisioning and running expenses. This includes a captain and crew that is fully trained and committed to your safety and enjoyment of your trip. A chef will provide the kind of exceptional, personalized meal preparation that you would expect of a five-star restaurant. The listed rate may not include all local taxes, cruising permits, premium beverages and scuba activities. Inquire for more information.
ADDITIONAL RATE DETAILS
Minimum charter length: 4 nights
FOR LESS THAN 7 NIGHT CHARTERS:
For 6 nights, divide by 7N X 6N. For less than 6 nights, divide by 6N X number of nights.
HOLIDAYS: 7 night minimum over Christmas - Flat rate $42,000, New Years - Flat rate $44,000 for 2-10 guests. New Year´s charters must start 12/28 or later.

Standard Caribbean Terms, all-inclusive.
HALF BOARD MEAL PLAN OPTION : SUBTRACT $150 per person from weekly rate : Includes 7 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners. Requires all other meals on shore at client expense.
LOCAL FARE MEAL PLAN OPTION : SUBTRACT $75 per person from weekly rate : Includes 7 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 6 dinners. Requires 2 lunches and 1 dinner at client expense.
The rates include:
• Private Yacht & Service of the crew (captain, chef/first mate)
• Insurance for the yacht and the passengers (civil liability)
• Accommodation in 5 private air-conditioned cabins with ensuite bathroom
• Bedding, towels and beach towels
• Full board: breakfast, lunch, and dinner including soft drinks, beer, wine and cocktails
• Consumables for the yacht (diesel, fuel, and water)
• Water sports on board: snorkeling gear, kayak, fishing rod, underwater scooters, SCUBA, SUP
• Mooring fees, cruising taxes, clearance and customs fees, park fees
The rates do not include:
• Cancellation Insurance and private insurance
• Premium beverage requests
• Harbour and Dockage fees
• Transfer airport - base - airport
• Personal expenses
• Gratuity - suggested is 15-20% of total charter fee.

Perfect Trip
We had the most amazing time aboard Epiphany with Nick and Angella. The sailing was fun and Nick was so patient with our 10 year old son who was in love with boating. The food was amazing. Every meal was above and beyond delicious. We were amazed we could eat so good on a boat. Everything was always kept neat and clean with ice restocked daily. The trip was perfect. Beautiful Culinary Results
We cannot overstate our appreciation for Angella´s attention, hard work, and both tasty and beautiful culinary results. Our trip diary will include many photographs of her food because her plating was often gorgeous. To start, we were not an easy group to cook for. We had a number of dietary restrictions, and one especially picky eater. Angella cooked exactly to our needs, always conscientious to exclude or substitute particulars for the picky one. Angella was extremely well organized, enabling her to pack her boat with appropriate fresh fruits and vegetables for a 21 meal week. What she churned out of a limited boat kitchen was extremely impressive. Dishes were extrememly diverse, ranging from Thai lemongrass soup to chocolate lava cake to ceviche tacos with fried sweet potatoes and tzatziki sauce (trust us, it was a fantastic combinations!)
When Angella wasn´t actively cooking (and cooking took up many hours daily), she was actively researching recipes, preparing cooking notes, tidying up the boat, and asking what else she might prepare for us. Between the three hefty meals a day, she brought out cheese platters, veggies and dips, and now her famous mojitos. In other words, Angella was busy from early mornings to late at night kitchen clean ups. Probably most appreciated was Angella´s always friendly nature and welcoming smile.
