What an unreal trip ! Captain Owen & Mia create such a wonderful, safe & curated environment with their exceptional hospitality and professionalism. At the same time, they are grounded and real making such an intimate setting for a vacation feel homey and familiar.No Inheritance is such a beautiful boat and so well cared for by its crew – it was honestly the perfect vessel for our week at sea.Our family will remember this trip always and we are so grateful for the amazing experiences and memories you facilitated and curated for us.

We loved our trip to BVI on No inheritance with Captain Owen and Mia!! You are a great team, very friendly and professional, and you had excellent recommendations on activities and local spots to visit! Mia cooked delicious meals with large servings for our two families (10 people) - which was awesome since we have big boys in their late teens and 20’s with large appetites! There was always lots of great food for them to eat at meals and for snacks. We also loved the morning lattes and made-to-order cocktails at night!

Captain Owen took us to fantastic places for great snorkeling, paddleboarding, and wakeboarding! And we loved the special snorkeling boat trip around Anegada so we could visit different coral reefs and make our own freshly caught conch ceviche! Captain Owen also took us to great land destinations for our kids to go on runs and for us to hike. Norman Island has great hikes up to the summit with awesome views!

We came for sailing, stayed for the sunsets, and rang in the New Year in style with fireworks at Peter Island! BVI and No Inheritance truly delivered- thank you so much for helping make this a great family vacation!

From 5-star meals to rum cocktails that Granny always thought were had too early… thank you for reminding us all what it meant to have a true family vacation filled with both adventure and relaxation. The beauty of the BVI is obviously well known, but the way Captain Owen tailors each day with special adventures, one better than the next, has created lifetime memories. The immense knowledge and relationships Owen has accumulated over 10+ years in the BVI are very likely unmatched. Chef Mia, what a culinary rockstar. This was only her second charter on No Inheritance, but you would have assumed she’s been at it for years. Endless, secret, serene swimming spots. Mamma Mia’s most delicious, delicately made meals catered to all our favorite cuisines and dishes we never knew about that we’ll now crave until next time…. Caps carefully crafted cruises and on-shore adventures gave us a gift of magical moments that our photos won´t do justice. Captain Owen & Chef Mia didn´t miss a beat. We just returned from our voyage on No Inheritance and as one member of our group said, “this might have been the best vacation ever.” (and we’ve had some good vacations.)  The boat was gorgeous.  Obviously, rooms are small, and bathrooms/showers were especially tiny, but overall we were certainly pleased with the amount of space on it (plus, who really spends time in their cabins other than sleeping.)  We didn’t anticipate that the 9 of us would all be able to be eat in the front of the boat (excuse me, bow) or the back (stern) or that we’d all be able to be up where the captain drives the boat (not sure what that’s called.)

As nice as the No Inheritance is, there is no doubt in any of our minds that Eric and Maddie (I’m not sure how she spells her Maddie, but we’ll got with that spelling) were what made the trip so memorable/fantastic.

Eric was a great captain.  He is one of those rare people who has the gift of making things appear effortless when he is undoubtedly putting in a lot of effort behind the scenes.  He made the effort to really understand what we wanted out of this vacation.  No doubt lots of folks love to go bar to bar (and who doesn’t like a good Caribbean bar?), but that’s not what we wanted to do on this trip.  We were with the 9 people we wanted to be with, and Eric managed to take us to uncrowded spots (even during Christmas in July) where the snorkeling, hiking, and water were all fantastic.  And, even the day when we did hit the Soggy Dollar, he made sure we got there early, had our pains killed, and were on our way before it got crowded.  We were traveling with 4 teens, and he took the time to get to know each of them whether it was keeping Emily from getting seasick, letting Michael help him man the controls, or having Will fish and wakeboard.  He seemingly knew all of their names (and all the adults’ names) immediately.  Obviously, he’s taking us to places he’s been to and seen many times before, but he made it seem like he was enjoying our discoveries just as we were enjoying them.

Maddie was a fantastic chef.  As I said to her on the boat, I expected a cook and got a chef.  We were a challenge, and meals were my greatest concern in the month leading up to the trip.  We celebrated an anniversary and two birthdays on the boat.  And, we had a vegan, a vegetarian, and someone who doesn’t eat fish.  We thought that would severely limit our dining options.  Instead, Maddie was whipping up a delicious dish from scratch every day (well, several times a day) that met (and let’s be honest greatly exceeded) our expectations every day.  Like Eric, she got to know our kids (and all of us) and paid attention to what we ate and what we didn’t eat and adjusted her plans based on that.  She was always happy to answer any questions or just to chat in the kitchen.

Simply put, I can’t imagine that there’s a better team out there.   While I was impressed with the way they handled their jobs, frankly, I was just as impressed with the fact that they are great people.  By the end of the trip, they just seemed like the 10 and 11th members of our traveling party.  We talked to them, played games with them, and hiked with them.  Now, as we get back to the grind, we miss them.

If you have people deciding among several boats, I’d say tell them to just pick the one with Eric and Maddie on it.  And, if prospective charterers want to talk to someone who has traveled on the boat, I’m guessing any of us would be happy to talk to them (while I wrote this, I’m pretty confident that Ana, Linda, and Kevin share the same view).  Now that I think about it, Linda is probably the best talker of the group.  I’m more of a writer, but you can certainly share this letter with anyone who wants an unsolicited testimonial.

Wow! We just finished 7 nights aboard No Inheritance with Captain Eric and Chef Madison, and I don’t know if I can find the words to say just how incredible this trip was. We were four families doing a tandem charter with C Sisters, including 6 teenagers and an 8 YO, with Hurricane Beryl heading west across the Atlantic as we embarked on our journey. We felt at home immediately upon arrival, greeted with champagne and a fresh lobster salad lunch, and we continued to be blown away with their hospitality, gentle nature, and each made from scratch meal and cocktail. My personal favorites included homemade pasta carbonara, fresh mahi and polenta, homemade bagels, pretzel bites and breads, crème brulee and fruit meringue desserts, and the many Aperol spritz and Painkiller cocktails . We had a lot of wind at times from Beryl to the south, but the sails were spectacular with Captain Eric at the helm. Our destinations were stunning, each unique in its own way, including Soggy Dollar and Hendos at White Bay (best part was floating in the crystal clear water), hiking to the bubbly pool on Jost, the kids soccer game on Sandy Spit, Marina Cay floating, the Baths, dinners at Coco Maya and Saba Rock, Hiking to the Norman Island helipad, Virgin Gorda Peak and sugar mills at Cinnamon Bay, Cocktails at Willy T’s, the Dinghy Bar, Quarter Deck at Bitter End and we loved the bushwhackers from Rumrunners. The kids will always remember their night swim under the boat with huge tarpon followed by lights out and stirring up the water to see bioluminescence, tubing and wakeboarding with Captain Eric, snorkeling the Norman Island caves and swimming through the passthroughs at the Indians, and of course their kids only dinner nights followed by trivia or the game Bang with Eric and Maddie! We knew we loved the USVI/BVI, we didn’t know that it could be the MOST INCREDIBLE TRIP with Captain Eric and Chef Madison. They are truly the GOAT at what they do, we may have to book again next year just to spend the week with you both again! Wishing you the very best for your upcoming pre-honeymoon and wedding!

Sailing and I do not go hand in hand. I get the kind of seasickness that propels me into another dimension. So when my partner suggested we take a trip out to the Channel Islands, I considered breaking up with them. But, she assured me she’d heard great things about Eric and Madison from a friend of ours and to trust that it would be fun. Ultimately, she was right. Maybe it was the killer cocktails Madison made or the fact that she comforted me while I leaned over the side of the boat about to be sick the first half an hour, but I ended up feeling totally safe and comfortable with them as our guides. Eric found a great snorkeling spot for my girlfriend and I stayed behind to snack on the appetizers Madison made and listen to chill indie rock. All & all a fun time. I’m glad we went and thanks to M & E for their support in getting me out there.

Yum…there wasn’t a meal that wasn’t liked all week long. Food is such a fun and important part of vacation and Maddie nailed it. Meeting the needs of a large group, we had 8, is no easy feat and our entire grouped enjoyed the unique and flavorful meals Maddie thoughtfully prepared. I think the real testament is the opinion of our kids - we had 4 kids in tow (ages 8-11) and they ate every single thing prepared, often asking for more! I personally valued and loved Maddie’s true passion for food, quality ingredients, and unique presentation. You won’t go hungry!

I watched him often anticipate client needs, seamlessly balance helping and giving us space, and pitch in when something needed to be done without missing a beat.
