Chef Jeandré “Jay” Britz combines culinary creativity with a passion for the ocean, making him a versatile and engaging presence on board. Originally from South Africa, Jay discovered his love for hospitality early and went on to refine his skills at the Stir Crazy Culinary Academy, where he trained in professional yacht catering. His background includes work in guesthouses, golf resorts, and repair centers before transitioning into yachting, where he found the perfect balance between food, adventure, and service. Over the past several years, Jay has worked aboard vessels ranging from fishing boats to luxury sailing yachts, taking on dual roles as chef and first mate. Known for his relaxed, approachable style, he crafts meals that are fresh, flavorful, and tailored to the rhythm of charter life. Whether preparing a light beachside lunch or an elegant multi-course dinner, Jay takes pride in creating food that brings people together and enhances the onboard experience. Meet Mackenzie Butler, originally from Birmingham, England - the furthest point from the ocean in the UK. But that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing a lifelong passion for everything above and below the water. At just 18 years old, Mackenzie became the youngest scuba diving instructor in the UK. Not long after, he left home to turn teaching and guiding into his full-time career. From the Caribbean to Asia, from abandoned mines to deep wrecks, Mackenzie has explored it all - and his love for diving is matched only by his enthusiasm for sharing the wonders of the underwater world with others. Sailing is another of Mackenzie’s great passions, and he considers it a true privilege to do it in such a stunning setting. A keen sportsman, Mackenzie enjoys connecting with guests over their favorite teams and sports. He’s also an avid traveler who loves immersing himself in new cultures, and he’s always eager to swap stories about the amazing places he and his guests have experienced. Mackenzie has called the BVI home for over two years now and has completely fallen in love with the islands - from the food and culture to the rich history and quirky local stories. An all-inclusive charter covers all provisioning and running expenses. This includes a captain and crew that is fully trained and committed to your safety and enjoyment of your trip. A chef will provide the kind of exceptional, personalized meal preparation that you would expect of a five-star restaurant. RELOCATION FEES
Pickups outside of the BVI have a relocation fee. This fee is not only for relocation but additional customs and marina fees that are necessary even if the yacht has already relocated for another charter.
SAINT MARTIN / SAINT BARTHS RELOCATION FEE
Relocation fee of $4,000, minimum 72 hour turn required on either side of charter dates for boat transit. Please inquire for availability.
Pickup in St Thomas is $750. Dropoff in St Thomas is $750. $1,500 for R/T St Thomas.
Windward Islands inquire for availability and relocation fee.
MINIMUM NIGHTS: 5
LESS THAN 7 NIGHT CHARTER RATES: For 6 night charters, divide weekly rate by 7 nights X 6 nights. For 5 nights or less, divide weekly rate by 6 nights X number of nights.
SLEEP ABOARD: 1/2 the daily rate. Dinner ashore at client´s expense. Includes; boarding after 4pm, welcome cocktail and breakfast the next morning and early start. For 6+ nights divide by 7 and 5 or less divide by 6.

TIP: It is customary to tip your crew at the end of your charter. The amount you leave is totally at your discretion and should be based on the level of service provided. The suggested gratuity is 15%-20% of the total charter fee.

Best Vacation Ever – Perfect Moon + The BEST Crew (CJ, Mackenzie & Tilley!)
We just returned from a one-week charter aboard the *Perfect Moon* in the BVI, and it’s hard to put into words just how incredible this experience was—but I’ll try.
First, the yacht itself is absolutely stunning. Spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably maintained, it felt like a floating luxury resort. Every detail was thought through, and there was always a perfect place to relax—whether lounging on deck with a drink, enjoying the views underway, or unwinding after a full day of adventure.
But what truly made this trip unforgettable—the *reason* this was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had—was the crew: **Captain CJ, Mackenzie, and Tilley**.
CJ is a phenomenal captain—calm, confident, and incredibly knowledgeable. From seamless sailing to carefully planned itineraries, we always felt completely taken care of. Mackenzie brought nonstop energy, humor, and expertise—he seemed to know every hidden gem in the BVI and made every stop more fun than the last. And Tilley… the food was simply out of this world. Every single meal was creative, fresh, and restaurant-quality (or better!). We were genuinely blown away multiple times a day.
The snorkeling was fantastic—crystal-clear water, vibrant marine life, and perfectly chosen spots that felt both adventurous and relaxing. Every day brought something new and memorable.
What stood out most, though, was how the crew elevated every moment. They didn’t just do their jobs—they created an experience. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuinely fun personalities made us feel like we were traveling with friends who just happen to be world-class at what they do. The entire week felt effortless because of them.
We’ve been on great trips before—but this was on another level. We’re already talking about coming back, and honestly, we would prioritize sailing again with **CJ, Mackenzie, and Tilley**. They made the trip what it was.

We recently returned from a week long sail on the Perfect Moon Yacht. The boat is beautiful. Our crew of CJ, Mackenzie & Tilley, we would HIGHLY recommend requesting. Let me share why and hopefully some of this write up will help inform your decision & itinerary!
We were a group of couples - old college friends - all of us well travelled enough to know when we have experienced something special in a vacation. The Perfect Moon itself is just beautiful. She is one of the few blue colored boats of this type out on the water - which makes her profile one that people on OTHER BOATS take pictures of. The accommodations are tight - but efficient and effective. The interior design of the boat and rooms are modern & sleek, with quality linens and shower items included. The area/space for sun or shade are well placed and the room for dining is perfect.
All of the fun water toys are also provided, and you can save space in your carry on bag because they supply all of the sunscreen, aloe, shampoo, conditioner & body wash.
Speaking of carry on bags...only bring something of that size. All of us (gals included) packed one ´overnight satchel´ sized bag, a backpack and a tiny bag to go into town with. You are going to ´live in´ your bathing suits most days. Bringing 3 bathing suits, 3 shorts, 3 t-shirts, bathing suit coverup, rash guard, flip flops, sneakers and 1 or 2 ´resort casual´ outfits will serve you well. For us gals - packing 2 or 3 sundress were perfect. A few items that were great to have - a windbreaker type jacket/pull over. You can smoosh them flat and they don´t wrinkle. A rash guard (long-sleeved bathing suit type shirt) is so helpful. Shoes that are fast drying & protective (ie: decent flip flops). At least one sun hat or ball cap. Finally, a dry bag for your phones & credit card proved also to be a plus to have.
Regarding the vacation and sail itself...it really did exceed our expectations. As I said, our crew was wonderful. CJ is your Captain, and Mackenzie his First Mate and Tilley is your Chef. The 3 of them make for a fantastic and very likable team. You will feel catered to without feeling hovered over. CJ is professional - but is also very personable and you will feel safe and in competent hands. Mackenzie is equally professional and in constant interaction with your group. He is easy going, extremely knowledgeable, flexible and willing to work with you and your group so your vacation is everything it can be. Tilley as your Chef is nothing short of a wonder. There have been multiple times afterwards that we have texted one another saying how much we missed her, as we were now back in our own kitchens, attempting to whip up some of the magic we all experienced with her food! What she is able to pull together -seemingly effortlessly - for your breakfast, lunch and dinner AND not ever do a REPEAT is nothing short of amazing. PLUS - the quality of the dishes she creates are excellent, and the presentation of each and every meal is worthy of photos in Food & Wine or Bon Appetite. When Tilley does her ´food preference intake´ with you for your group - she takes it seriously and it is reflected beautifully with what she produces.
I think each of us could gush for quite some time about each of them and what they bring to make them such a great team and as a result - your experience so memorable.
Some suggestions on your itinerary. Since NONE of us had sailed around the BVI´s before - we placed a lot of our faith in their hands for what our route should be. We gave them high level & general ideas of what type of activities we like to do and not do, and the overall ´type´ of vacation we were hoping for. They did an excellent job translating that into a great itinerary.
They recommended 2 dinners ´off boat and in town´ - and both suggestions were excellent. It gave us a change of scenery, pace and the ability to experience the local towns. Only one on shore experience that we had we all said we wished was a little different was our day trip to The Baths. When our crew suggested we get up and get to the hike & The Baths early - we are SO GLAD we listened. Why? Because once the passengers from the cruise ships began arriving - the place was an absolute zoo.
Otherwise, each on shore experience was great and memorable for all of us.
Finally, you will not go wrong nor be disappointed selecting the Perfect Moon and this specific crew. Again, coming from a group of people who are all pretty well travelled and can have high expectations - this experience exceeded them. We wish you a bon voyage!
Perfect Moon perfection
We just had an amazing vacation with friends on the Perfect Moon! The yacht is beautiful, and the staff members were phenomenal! Captain CJ and mate Mackenzie were very engaging and their expertise was apparent throughout our trip. Chef Tilley couldn’t have been more friendly and provided us with one outstanding meal after another. We were pampered beyond belief, and had a truly wonderful time throughout. A vacation experience that filled us all with joy and many wonderful memories.
Once-in-a-Lifetime BVI Charter Aboard the Perfect Moon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just wrapped up an unforgettable week sailing the British Virgin Islands aboard the Perfect Moon Yacht with five couples, and I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.
From the moment we boarded in Red Hook to our final farewell at Christmas Cove, Captain CJ navigated us flawlessly through every anchorage — Norman Island, Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda, the Kodiak Queen wreck, Saba Rock, Marina Cay, Guana Island, Cane Garden Bay, and the legendary Soggy Dollar. His knowledge of the islands and easygoing professionalism made every day feel effortless.
First Mate Mackensey was the heartbeat of the boat — handling the RIB tender and lines with skill while also serving up the best cocktails in the Caribbean. He looked after every guest like family and joined us on several dives and fishing adventures.
And Chef Tilly — what can I say? Every single meal was restaurant-quality and beautifully plated, from her shakshuka and tuna poke bowls to panko wahoo, persimmon rose carpaccio, and a surf-and-turf finale that rivaled any fine dining experience anywhere. She´s a true artist.

Incredible Week
Just completed a week on the Perfect Moon with a boat full of college friends. CJ, Tilley and Mackenzie were the best crew anyone could ask for. They were super accommodating and very professional. The coordination of getting us into the best spots to snorkel, keeping our tummies full of food and our cups full of your favorite beverage. Would highly recommend this crew and boat!!!
Amazing crew, great boat, fantastic time
We had an amazing tour of the BVIs. The boat was superb. The crew was fantastic…extremely professional and got along great with our group. Captain CJ always presented the itinerary and had great information on the islands. He and Mackenzie were always available to help with water sports and gear. Tilley is a fantastic chef—the meals we had were all amazing and she catered to multiple preferences. I couldn’t recommend this crew any more. They delivered a super relaxing trip and are great people. I’ll root for their future success!
The perfect sailing trip
The perfect week with friends on the Perfect Moon. CJ, MacKenzie and Tilley were the best crew ever. The food was amazing and the hospitality and professionalism were beyond measure. I was unsure how I would feel spending a week on a boat at first and I only wish the trip could have been a week longer. Thank you for such a fun adventure. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Bucket list trip to the BVI
We had a great trip March 23-28 on the perfect moon with captain CJ, first mate Mackenzie and Chef Tillie. Team was attentive from our champagne toast and lunch waiting for us on arrival to ensuring we were always hydrated() and even arranging transportation on our last day. They chose wonderful locations for us to visit in the BVI and provided some historical info on the areas. The boat was the perfect size for our group of 6 with lots of different areas to relax together or alone. Boat was well maintained and cabins were a good size with queen beds in most of the cabins(4 with queens and 1 with twin beds). Tillie’s cooking was amazing, healthy with lots of seafood which we had requested. My husband and I have been to the VI several times but this was our first time chartering a boat and will not be our last. We are looking forward to planning our next trip on this boat with this fantastic crew.

Perfect Trip on Perfect Moon
Our recent week aboard Perfect Moon was exceptional. Traveling with our family and another, we were immediately put at ease by the exceptional crew of C.J., Tilley, and Mackenzie. The crew anticipated our needs before we had to ask, striking the perfect balance between attentive service and a relaxed, fun atmosphere. They were warm, engaging, and professional, and they made everyone feel comfortable and safe throughout the trip.
Each day brought a diverse array of delicious dishes and snacks, all beautifully plated and consistently impressive. It is challenging to please a group of 9, and Chef Tilley did a terrific job.
Perfect Moon itself exceeded our expectations. The boat is modern, clean, and very well-maintained. Even the showers were surprisingly spacious and comfortable.
All in all, this was a truly memorable vacation. We wholeheartedly recommend Perfect Moon and this fantastic crew to anyone looking for a seamless, enjoyable, and top-tier charter experience.

The perfect Perfect Moon
Our family of 5 chartered the Perfect Moon catamaran to tour the St Martins/Anguilla islands for a week. The crew of 3-Captain CJ, Chef Tilley and First Mate MacKenzie-were awesome hosts and guides. We would not hesitate to charter with them again to explore more of the Caribbean. Our 5 year old granddaughter especially enjoyed the homey atmosphere created by the crew.
The bedrooms and lounging areas of the Perfect Moon are EXTREMELY comfortable. There is always a spot to chill in the shade and enjoy the view. The catamaran is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy the water.
Perfect Moon ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL
The Perfect Moon Yacht was another level of being extraordinary! It was luxurious and equipped with every amenity needed to be in the water. Plush seating in the main area, comfortable beds and plenty of seating on the Skybridge.
The exceptional crew, CJ (The Captain), Tilley (The Chef) and McKenzie (1st mate) were AMAZING. CJ navigated us through BVI blue hues while finding the perfect locations to drop anchor to take in the breathtaking scenery.
Tilley tailored our menu and created incredible meals three times a day, desserts with every dinner and midafternoon snacks from scratch. Each meal was creatively prepared with absolutely deliciousness flavor. She did not disappoint!
McKenzie was attentive to our needs, anticipating before we said a word. The yacht was immaculate.

Best. Vacation. Ever. 5 couples sailed 7 days on Perfect Moon through BVI. Beautifully appointed boat that turned heads wherever we went but it was definitely the crew that made the experience memorable. Captain CJ is so knowledgeable and professional yet is a ton of fun. 1st Mate Mckenzie seemed to anticipate our needs before we could verbalize them. He is so entertaining and took care of us on both land and water. Chef Tilly served meals that you´d expect in high-end restaurants. Her food was better than any meals we had at shore restaurants. She is truly talented! I cannot say enough compliments about this entire trip. Everything was seamlessly arranged, very professional, yet extremely fun and exciting!
Perfect Vacation on the Perfect Moon
The Perfect Moon luxury yacht was Amazing, but the crew was even better!! Captain CJ, 1st mate Mackenzie, and Chef Tilley were professional, fun, and very attentive. Their attention to detail and customization of the itinerary, menu, and drinks to our group of ten people´s needs was spot on.
They took us to great dive and snorkeling sites, island tours, fun bars. Tilley served us three perfectly plated, fresh, high end restaurant quality meals every day.
The yacht was very nicely appointed, cabins were spacious (for a boat) and comfortable, the dining table at the aft deck seated all 10 of us comfortably, the fly bridge was very large and comfortable place to hang out.

A Week in Paradise!
The perfect moon catamaran was such an unbelievable trip! We had 5 couples on the boat for a week and were treated like royalty. CJ, Tilly and Mckenzie took care of all our needs! 3 gourmet meals a day was so spectacular. All of the crew were professional and so nice. They took us to the best beaches and dive sites. They felt like family by the end of the week. The cabins were spacious and always clean. Lots of water toys and always had a cold drink in hand. Highly recommend them!

This boat! Amazing real show stopper. The layout was spectacular. The fly bridge was our gathering place! The Islands and itinerary exceeded our expectations. But the crew is what made this a vacation of a lifetime. I felt safe, entertained and catered to. CJ was so kind and an expert Captain. Mackenzie brought charm, humor and his scuba expertise to our trip. Tilly gets a Michelin star (if it were up to me). The exceptional service did not wane for even a moment. It was quite simply PERFECTION!!!!! We wanted to bring them home with us! Thanks perfect Moon! But a simple “thank you” simply isn’t enough!!!!!

My wife and I just got back from the Caribbean, where we toured both the USVI and BVI on Perfect Moon with Captain CJ and Chef Tilley and it was hands down the best experience we´ve ever had.
The Caribbean will always be beautiful, but what truly made this trip unforgettable was CJ and Tilley. From the moment we stepped on board, everything was perfect. Captain CJ ran an incredible trip safe, smooth, and customized exactly to what we wanted while Chef Tilley absolutely blew us away with every meal. The food alone was next-level.
What we never could have imagined was the friendship we made along the way. CJ and Tilley didn´t just deliver an amazing trip-they far exceeded every expectation and completely blew it out of the water. They are true rock stars.
This was the greatest trip we´ve ever taken, and we highly recommend this experience to anyone even considering it. We will be talking about this one for the rest of our lives.

We chartered Perfect Moon with captain CJ and Chef Tilley. We spent roughly a week aboard exploring the US and British Virgin Islands. The boat was absolutely beautiful, but the crew really made our trip memorable. They worked so hard to make sure every experience and meal was special. We appreciate all of their hard work.

Perfect Moon in the BVIs
It was my first time sailing the BVIs and our trip was amazing! Perfect Moon is a beautiful boat but the crew made our trip exceptional. Tilley is a wonderful chef and every meal was enjoyed by our large group. Almost impossible to pick favorite meals because there were way too many. The breads, tacos, poke bowl, burger, etc! CJ was a great captain. He was kind, knowledgeable and always had a smile on his face. Mackenzie took us diving and was by far the best scuba diver we have ever gone with. He took us to the best dive spots and kept us entertained. He also make a delicious painkiller and spicy margarita!! CJ makes yummy drinks too…hello skinny spicy margarita! I cannot say enough great things about this trip. I wouldn’t change a thing and would do it again!

This trip was absolutely incredible. Every boat trip is completely dependent on the crew and ours was phenomenal. Tilley made unbelievably good food for a big group of people. CJ was our guardian angel keep us safe and not letting anyone ruin our fun. Mackenzie was fun to hang with and a great guide on lane or under water.

Had an absolutely one-of-a-kind experience. Captain CJ, Mate McKensie, and Chef Tilly were perfect, always professional, attentive, and passionate about the work they do.
CJ the captain alwyas made us feel completely safe and relaxed while navigating and meeting every need. Mate McKensie was always one step ahead, anticipating our needs and ensuring every detail was handled flawlessly. And Chef Tilly.. was superb!!! Every meal was beautifully prepared, delicious, and felt like a personalized culinary experience on the water. Tilly even went out of her way to accommodate my non eating seafood requests. I know.. a week at sea and no seafood!! lol but Tilly always had something spectacular for me to enjoy along with everyone else.
The entire crew always made us feel special and their attention to detail and warm hospitality elevated the trip beyond anything we expected. Would highly recommend this experience!! Simply phenomenal and so hard to come back to reality.
