NDS Evolution Description
NDS EVOLUTION is the only 85’ JFA Yachts expedition yacht available for charter. She was delivered in 2018 with upgrades finished early 2026 and purpose-built for a true global circumnavigation. Her name reflects a natural progression from the owner’s previous yacht, NDS Darwin, an intentional step forward in design, capability, and technology to create a vessel ready to explore the world without limits. Constructed with a robust aluminum hull and engineered for serious passagemaking, NDS EVOLUTION is designed to confidently navigate everything from remote tropical archipelagos to high-latitude destinations. She has already proven her capabilities cruising extensively through Europe, the Caribbean, the South Pacific, Alaska, and even Antarctica. Built for long-range exploration and self-sufficiency, she combines performance and resilience with the comfort expected of a refined luxury yacht. Her interior features a bright, contemporary open layout that feels both welcoming and sophisticated. Below deck, she accommodates up to nine guests in four thoughtfully designed staterooms. The full-beam Master suite offers panoramic views, a private office desk, a quiet lounging corner, and direct access to the forward deck, creating a private retreat at sea. Accommodations
She can accommodate up to 9 guests sleeping on board. The full beam Master Stateroom with its panoramic view includes a private access to the forward deck, with a serene corner lounging area. Also included is a 3 single bed stateroom, perfect for the kids, and 2 more double bed VIP staterooms. All staterooms have ensuite bathroom. The forward part is dedicated to the crew with the captain’s cabin, a twin cabin, a large galley with crew mess.

CAPTAIN- PEDRO RAPOSO- PORTUGEUSE
Captain Pedro grew up surrounded by the ocean, which naturally led him into a life at sea and a long-standing career in yachting. With over a decade of experience sailing classic and modern yachts across the Mediterranean, Atlantic, and Caribbean, he brings a calm, capable, and hands-on approach to every charter. Known for his easygoing personality and strong leadership, Pedro ensures guests feel both relaxed and well taken care of on board. When he’s off duty, he enjoys staying active outdoors, spending time on the water, and taking on hands-on projects that keep him learning and busy.
CHIEF STEWARDESS- ROASSANA ALMEIDA- PORTUGEUSE
Originally from Portugal, Rossana began her yachting career sailing around the Azores on smaller sailing yachts, quickly discovering a passion for life at sea and guest service. She has now been working in the industry for over six years, gaining solid experience as a stewardess on both private and charter sailing yachts. Known for her strong interior standards and calm, friendly approach with guests, Rossana is a reliable and adaptable presence on board. When she’s not working, she enjoys staying active outdoors - surfing, wakeboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and spending as much time as possible in nature and around the water.
MATE- JOAO SILVA- PORTUGESE
João is a seasoned deckhand with a deep-rooted passion for the sea, honed through years of sailing, coaching, and yacht service. With extensive experience on sailing catamarans and classic yachts, João has sailed across the Mediterranean. João’s leadership is inspired by his earlier initiative, sailing the Azores to help recovering addicts, showcasing his commitment to both teamwork and community. He is addicted to the salt water and enjoys any and all water sports including sailing, surfing, diving, and even kite surfing, which he is a certified kitesurfing instructor. Joao ensures to make all the activities worth while on NDS Evolution.
CHEF- LUCA HEIERLI- SWISS/SOUTH AFRICAN
Chef Luca brings a well-rounded background shaped by years of life at sea, with roots in Europe and Southern Africa subtly influencing his style. After building a solid foundation on deck and in guest service, his growing passion for food naturally led him into the galley, where he now focuses on delivering fresh, thoughtful meals tailored to the charter experience.
With hands-on culinary training and extensive yachting experience across both sailing and motor yachts, Luco is known for his adaptability, calm presence, and attention to detail. When he’s off duty, you’ll likely find him surfing, diving, climbing, or experimenting with new recipes - always driven by curiosity, both on the water and in the kitchen.

NDS Evolution Rates / week
The prices shown are for the entire yacht for a week-long (7 nights) charter.Low price: €55,000
High price: €65,000
The high and low prices of this yacht depend on both the number of guests and the traveling season. Send us an inquiry for exact pricing.
Yacht terms: Plus Expenses
The price includes a professional crew operating your chartered yacht, but all running expenses such as fuel, tax, provisions and any other costs are extra. Calculate between 20-30% for a sailing yacht and 30-40% for a motor yacht on top of the given rate with an APA cash payment made to the ships agent or captain, who will keep an open tap and produce full accounts of all expenditures. Unused APA money will be refunded. Inquire for more information.
ADDITIONAL RATE DETAILS
For charters of less than seven (7) days, the weekly charter rate shall be divided by six (6) to establish the daily rate. Please inquire to confirm rate.
Winter season:
High rate applies to Christmas, New Years and other major holidays, Please inquire.
Summer season:
High rate: EUR 70,000 + expenses (July + August)
Low rate: EUR 60,000 + expenses
