Captain
Marinko Kolanović
Croatian
Born in Zadar, a city with a thousand-year maritime tradition, Marinko grew up surrounded by the scent of the sea, the sound of waves, and the sight of sails on the horizon - all of which shaped his life’s path. As a boy, he spent countless days in the harbor, watching ships come and go, dreaming of distant seas. This passion led him to maritime school and eventually to a long and accomplished career sailing on international voyages.
His professionalism, knowledge, and extensive experience have shaped him into a captain guests can fully trust. After many years spent navigating the world’s oceans, life took him across the Atlantic to New York, where he started a family and successfully built his own business. Yet, his love for his homeland and the sea never faded.
Driven by that love, Marinko decided to fulfill a lifelong dream: to purchase his own vessel and spend the summer months in Croatia, sharing the beauty of the Adriatic with guests from all over the world. His greatest wish is for his children and grandchildren to grow up by the sea, creating shared family memories that will last a lifetime - just as he once did.
With Marinko at the helm of the Adriatic Breeze, guests can expect the highest level of safety, a professional crew, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. His calm presence, expertise, and genuine hospitality make every journey not only relaxing, but truly special.
