The Peddler Crew Profile
Captain Arnold Heins
Arnold comes to THE PEDDLER with 14 years of experience under his belt. His career took off back in 2008 when he started as deckhand/dive instructor on a 76’ sailing catamaran. It was a life as a dive instructor and a love for the ocean that lead him to pursue a career in yachting. In 2011 he became Captain on a 58’ charter sailing catamaran in the BVI. Arnold transitioned from sailing yachts to motor yachts in 2013 when he started to run a 100’ Hargrave in South Florida and the Bahamas. Before captaining THE PEDDLER, Arnold was the captain on board a 96’ Nordhavn, Lacey Kay. Arnold ran Lacey Kay alongside his wife and two other crewmembers for almost three years. He cruised with the owners from Alaska to Panama on the west coast, and from Columbia to Maine on the east coast. After Lacey Kay he joined another 96’ Nordhavn, Vivierae II, a charter vessel in the Caribbean and the Bahamas. He has extensive cruising experience of the Caribbean, Bahamas, New England, Central America and the west coast of America, including Alaska. Arnold´s love for the ocean, water sports, and spotting the ideal anchorage makes him a great asset to THE PEDDLER. His passion for people, entertaining and being on the water is evident to his guest and makes for the perfect charter experience. He is from South Africa and speaks English and Afrikaans.
Chef Leeann Davulis
With an early thirst for exploring, Leeann relocated to St. John, USVI from Boston after college. She became an avid diver, boating and water enthusiast. After being introduced to the superyacht industry in 2009, she began filling roles on yachts as a stewardess and chef. Seeking an opportunity to expand her skills at sea, Leeann completed a culinary degree in 2014 from New England Culinary Institute, where she then traveled to the Lowcountry to apprentice in Charleston, SC under chefs Craig Deihl and Russ Moore. She is now a freelance chef impressing her guests with high-end cuisine on both private and charter yachts. The environment suits her hard working attitude, and her love of fusing diverse cuisines and experimenting with local ingredients works well as a traveling chef, searching out inspiration in whatever port she finds herself. Bringing people together by presenting beautiful cuisine coupled with a dream vacation makes every charter an extra special occasion!
First Mate Daniel Cohn
Daniel is a yachting and sailing enthusiast, constantly thriving to grow and push limits. His desire to perfect his craft drives him to become a professional master in command. Always had a passion for travelling and experiencing the world cultures and people. He grew up in a small town called Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where he lived just off the beach. This allowed him the opportunity to spend nearly every day in the water doing what he loves, diving and bodyboarding. His oldest brother, who has been in the industry for 12 years, worked his way up to Chief Officer, completing his 3000 GT Masters. He has always been Daniel’s biggest role model and guided him in this direction. Daniel joined the industry since he left school in 2018 and went straight to do his Yacht Masters 200GT License. He completed an 18 month cadetship training to become a professional seafarer. He trained on seven modules which included: Deck, Interior, Service, Sailing/Navigation, Engineering, Diving and Guest Services. He has participated in overall guest logistics including airport pick-ups, port clearances and delivering bespoke guest experiences in remote locations. He looks forward to his next charter on THE PEDDLER!

Epic spring break on the amazing Peddler with Captain Ron, Eli, Liv, and Casey. They made our trip very enjoyable and memorable. We are ruined for any future vacations not aboard a boat with them. XOXO Thank you all SO much!
Guest Review, March, 2023
We thoroughly enjoyed our week on The Peddler. We appreciate all you and the crew did to make us comfortable and happy. We were totally spoiled all week! It is our hope to return for a future voyage.
We had a fabulous week on the Peddler. We had high expectations and the yacht and crew exceeded those exceptions. The Peddler is a very new yacht and was tastefully furnished. Everything was first class. We enjoyed the many outdoor areas and indoor areas as well. We especially enjoyed the flybridge which had everything we could enjoy. Including a dining area, bar, jacuzzi, lounge chairs, sun mats and a sitting area. The perfect place to watch the beautiful scenery go by. The Peddler was very smooth sailing and glided through the waters.
We really enjoyed playing on all the new fun water toys. The yacht had a swim platform and stairs down into the water that made it very easy to enter and exit the water. The new tender was very nice and made going on excursions very easy and enjoyable. We had a great time snorkeling, scuba diving, visiting beaches, caves and beach bars.
The best part of the week was the crew. The crew was professional, courteous and friendly. They tended to all of our needs and wishes. We were thoroughly spoiled the entire week!
We booked the yacht on short notice and the entire crew made sure that everything was just perfect when we arrived. Our week aboard The Peddler was perfect. We would recommend The Peddler and crew to anyone and we hope to return for a future voyage!
