“Where the Water Meets the Horizon” Katlo will accommodate 6 charter guests in 2 spacious queen cabins and 1 owners suite that encompasses the entire yacht port side. She is a 2024 sailing catamaran with extensive customization, a hard top, hydraulic lift, SeaDek, solar panels, air conditioning, water maker, ice maker, full sized refrigerator, a fully customizable menu, ecofriendly and reef safe toiletries, a bar stocked to guest preference, coffee/espresso machine, snorkeling gear, underwater scooters, wakeboard, kneeboard, water skis, stand up paddle board, floating dock, pool noodles, fishing gear, board and card games, television in the salon and master cabin, Sonos sound system and Katlo giveaways.

Florian Wenzel
Florian hails from the scenic region of Bavaria in southern Germany, where he spent his childhood exploring the Alps and windsurfing on the crystal-clear lakes. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and has expanded his expertise with further studies in Sustainable Manufacturing and Management in New Zealand and La Réunion.
Professionally, Florian has built a diverse career. Alongside his work in engineering consulting and project management, he has spent the past decade as a charter skipper, leading sailing adventures across the globe, from the Mediterranean to the remote islands of Tahiti.
An avid sportsman, Florian enjoys windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, soccer, and snowboarding, and has traveled to 45 countries in pursuit of new adventures. Being fluent in German and English, and having advanced skills in French and Spanish, rounds out his quest for culture and a broader understanding of the world. All of this coupled with his passion for the ocean and his technical background make him a well-rounded companion for sailing adventures.

Nicole Schaaf
Growing up in Southern Germany, Nicole spent countless hours cooking alongside her grandmother and mother, forming cherished memories in the kitchen. Her favorite childhood moments, however, took place in the family garden, where her grandfather instilled in her a deep appreciation for locally sourced, high-quality ingredients.
After earning a degree in Business and Journalism, Nicole moved to Berlin to immerse herself in the entrepreneurial world, gaining valuable experience working for startups and investors. Attending Europe’s largest tech conferences and engaging with countless founders from diverse industries, she sharpened her skills in detail-oriented, fast-paced environments. Berlin’s multicultural atmosphere fueled her culinary curiosity, inspiring her to explore a wide range of cuisines. Amidst the city´s vibrant energy, Nicole became known as the go-to host for unforgettable dinner parties, where her love for creating exceptional food experiences truly shone.
In the beginning of 2024, Nicole decided to swap the concrete jungle for clear waters and beautiful beaches. She spent five months sailing across the Mediterranean Sea and working as a private chef. One of her favorite parts of this new chapter is sourcing fresh ingredients at early morning markets and crafting nutritious, seasonal meals that reflect the essence of each region.
For Nicole, being a chef is about far more than crafting delicious dishes. It’s about bringing people together, fostering meaningful connections, and creating lasting memories. She believes the magic of a meal lies in the conversations shared and the moments savored over great food and drinks.

An all-inclusive charter covers all provisioning and running expenses. This includes a captain and crew that is fully trained and committed to your safety and enjoyment of your trip. A chef will provide the kind of exceptional, personalized meal preparation that you would expect of a five-star restaurant. We can’t thank you enough for the week on Katlo. Everything from the food and music to sailing (and napkin folding) was perfect. You exceeded our expectations in every way and made this an unforgettable experience. Thank you for answering all of Jeff’s questions twice, keeping John’s belly full, allowing Clint to tie and untie a few knots, magically having Casey’s favorite Chardonnay, and letting Chloe put up the sails. It was so special getting to tandem with Oceana and it couldn’t have happened without you. We hope you had some fun along the way too - at lease some laughs from the games on the last night on Virgin Gorda. Thank you making Chloe’s birthday so special with little notice. It is one she will never forget. Cheers and safe sailing until our next trip. If you ever need a break from paradise, come visit us in Colorado and ski!

Thank you for the most amazing week sailing through the BVIs - truly our favorite vacation ever! You both made it so special from start to finish. You worked so hard to get us to all the special spots in such a short amount of time, and we’re so grateful.
Florian, your calm and confidence made every sail feel effortless, and Jorja, your meals were delicious and next-level (and thanks to you our kids are now ceviche fans!)
Visiting Necker Island was a major highlight, along with Peter Island, Guana, North Sound, Norman (the caves!), the Indians, Virgin Gorda and finishing the trip at Savannah Island. We had an absolute blast just skiing, snorkeling, SUPs, relaxing on the fly bridge and taking in the unforgettable views.
The boys loved wake boarding and tubing with Florian driving the tender like a pro!
You both made this trip so special with your kindness and attention to every little detail.

Your variety, flavor, and presentation is unmatched. Florian, you expertly and confidently navigated our journey with perfect suggestions on where to go. It is such a pleasure to recommend an Adventure on Katlo. Remi and Jessa are the ultimate hosts. From our meeting them at the airport, they have done everything possible to ensure we had the ultimate BVI sailing experience!
