The yacht won Runner Up for Best in Show Yachts under 50´ and the crew took home Honorable Mention for Best Crew! The Bali 4.8 design was new to the market in 2020 and provided a fresh approach to sailing. The design is revolutionary in how space is accessed, with deliberate attention to flow and open space. It succeeds in producing a scale that feels less like a boat, and more like an upscale floating condominium. Bali catamarans are known and appreciated for their unparalleled success in blending luxury, space, and performance; producing a sailing experience that is unparalleled. This new design further capitalizes on that reputation with the advent of the “Bali garage door” that is the centerpiece of the yacht. It allows for the aft wall of the yacht to simply disappear, opening up the back of the yacht to an unobstructed view of paradise. This also affords indoor/outdoor dining options and gives the ever-present Caribbean breeze ample opportunity to make its way through the yacht with ease. With her solid foredeck gone are the forward trampolines, replaced by a large relaxing lounge area complete with cushions for sunbathing. A full-sized door provides access directly from the lounge area into the salon, allowing free movement through the yacht. A walk up to the flybridge unveils a seating area perfect for cocktails and taking in sunsets. There is also another area for sunbathing on the flybridge where you can take in the sights of the islands from the highest vantage point on the yacht. The Bali open space design is further complimented by the superior outfit of Oceana. No detail has been left unnoticed from the fine linens, pillows and throws to the wine glasses, serving and flatware that make every day feel luxurious. She has been stocked full with every appliance and kitchen accessory to allow the chef to fully showcase the mastery of their art. And the water toys abound, allowing guests to fully experience all the Caribbean has to offer, both in and out of the water. Oceana will accommodate 8 charter guests in 4 spacious queen cabins. She has soft foam decking encompassing the deck and flybridge, lithium batteries and solar panels that allows the air conditioning to run without generator at times, air conditioning, water maker, ice maker, full sized refrigerator, a fully customizable menu, Caribbean made ecofriendly and reef safe toiletries, a bar stocked to guest preference, coffee/espresso machine, rendezvous scuba diving, snorkeling gear, underwater scooters, subwing, wakeboard, stand up paddle board, towable water tube, 10 ft. floating dock, pool noodles, fishing gear, board and card games, television in the salon, Fusion 3 Bluetooth enabled sound system and Oceana giveaways.

CAPTAIN JAMES
James grew up in the British countryside on a farm. From a young age he was obsessed with anything and everything mechanical. He spent summers in his father´s Irish coastal hometown of Dungarvan and it was there that he developed a love for the ocean.
He started a career in the luxury eyewear industry working for brands such as TAG Heuer and Calvin Klein, but eventually his love for the ocean won out and drew him toward a career in the yachting industry. He has worked for two years now as a charter captain in various locations including Croatia and French Polynesia.

Coming across the seas from the inner city of Sydney, Australia - Julia grew up baking alongside her mother and grandmother learning the home classics and passed down family recipes. After a challenging few years working as pediatric nurse during the global pandemic, she took the opportunity of the world opening back up to explore the world, tasting culinary delights in many parts of Asia and Europe before landing herself in Croatia as a chef onboard flotilla charter yachts for the European summer. This experience ignited a flame for Julia to chase her dream of working as a chef on the water full-time.
Julia comes from a strong hospitality background working in several established venues in Sydney both behind the bar and front of house. She has completed a number of culinary courses with Le Cordon Bleu and the Australian Patisserie Academy and is so passionate about delivering delicious food and a unique hospitality experience.
Outside of the galley there is nothing more relaxing to Julia than perching in the sun with a good book or finding new walks along the coastlines around the world. Coming from a large family, bringing people together around a table to enjoy a meal and share stories is one of life’s greatest moments in her eyes and she cannot wait to welcome you onboard and share this with you all.

An all-inclusive charter covers all provisioning and running expenses. This includes a captain and crew that is fully trained and committed to your safety and enjoyment of your trip. A chef will provide the kind of exceptional, personalized meal preparation that you would expect of a five-star restaurant. Everyone of us in our group are seasoned travelers and have had the good fortune to experience some pretty spectacular vacations around the world. So I’ll just cut to the chase and say that this was one of the greatest vacations any of us have ever experienced. Everything exceeded our expectations starting with our fantastic Captain James Cotter and Chef extraordinaire Marie Levraud. Two absolutely delightful people. James handled OCEANA, our Bali 48 catamaran, with ease, confidence and professionalism. It was clear almost immediately that he was an expert yachtsman and that we were in very capable hands. James worked with us prior to our charter to put together the best possible float plan. He blended many beautiful and tranquil locations with a few livelier spots like the Soggy Dollar Bar, Saba Rock and the Bitter End and the Wonky Dog on Anegada for the best lobster dinner I´ve ever had. I also enjoyed some of the best snorkeling of my life when we stopped at George Dog for the afternoon. Four of us had been to the BVI twice before, bare-boating both of those trips. However, after experiencing a BVI charter with a captain and a chef we would be hard pressed to do it any other way. It allowed us to fully relax and enjoy a stress free week on the water. There were countless highlights on our trip but the first one that came to mind for me was the cuisine. Chef Marie far exceeded our expectations. Every meal, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, was five star, carefully and thoughtfully planned out. Marie always took the time to explain every meal, the region that inspired each dish and the various ingredients she used. In my lifetime I have never had so many excellent meals back to back for nine days straight. James and Marie also discerned quickly our personal tastes for both food and drinks. Marie always had creative alternatives available just in case there was a food item one of us didn’t care for and James knew exactly the right moment to hand you the perfect cappuccino, cocktail or glass of vino. James and Marie always kept OCEANA clean and organized including our bedrooms and bathrooms. Yeah, they spoiled us big time.

The Oceana was the perfect fit for our family, not only the right size, but the best capitan and chef. Umbi is an amazingly kind and warm person. He took us to amazing locations and hikes and did everything to make sure we were well taken care of. Lindsey was awesome. She worked tirelessly cooking so many delicious dishes and accommodated everyone´s dietary restrictions, from vegans, to gluten free. No small feat. Everything was perfect. The only way to really experience the BVI.

Umbi and Kylie - We knew coming into this trip that it would be amazing. What we did not know was that you two would have a huge impact on making it a once in a lifetime memory. From beginning to end you both were beyond Five Stars. Your wonderful personalities and exceptional care did not go unnoticed and definitely not unappreciated. Kylie - the presentation and unbelievable variety of tastes is like something I have never had. We had a great experience with Umberto and Judith. The boat was amazing, Umberto is a great captain and Judith provided us with consistent 5 Star meals each day with amazing presentations that were absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful week. We’ve been looking forward to this trip for 10 years to celebrate my 50th in the BVI’s. On my 40th birthday my wife asked what are you going to do for your 50th I said I want to celebrate in the BVI’s. You all made my trip a dream trip, it was the best birthday ever!
