Eric Santenne, despite his youthful looks, began his career in the yachting industry over 20 years ago and he has gained a wealth of experience after sailing on some of the most performant yachts in the industry. Having grown up in the South of France, his knowledge of sailboats is combined with his extensive world-wide network within the industry itself. This ensures that he has both the connections and the background to deliver whatever his guests desire and is well able to create bespoke itineraries that meet your individual needs. As a leader, he is mature, calm, positive, inspires loyalty, and brings a strong can-do attitude to the team. Being part of the construction of the yacht, he has been working on every facet of bringing the yacht’s program to reality, from overseeing the construction in Finland, to being in charge of all the technical side of things and the logistics. He now cannot wait to introduce you to FANCY so he can share his passion for sailing and create memorable experiences with guests.

Erwan Monsimet - Chef

Nationality: French

Born in Brittany, Erwan is a passionate and eclectic chef, mixing the traditional French cuisine with international flavours, always keeping in mind the location of the boat, sourcing the most local and fresh produce to create his menu. Although he started in hotel and restaurants, he branched out to cruise ships and was exposed to dishes and ideas from around the world. He incorporates these ideas into his menus, aiming for a fusion between showcasing the very best of local ingredients yethis ability to balance them with intercontinental tastes. He is an ambitious chef and has a passion for lifelong learning and developing his talent. Over his time on board, he has developed and enhanced his skills on deck, always smiling and helping out in any areas required. As an integral part of the Fancy team, Erwan aims to delight the guests with his creativity and flair, always available and very aware of the individual needs. Whether these are allergy or diet related, Erwan is keen to work around your preferences.

Edouard Duriez - First Mate

Nationality: French

Sail and Work Experience
Édouard has been working on yachts since 2009, when he was a skipper on the private charter catamaran LIBERTY and Swan 82 KALLIMA. Since then he has worked in a variety of positions including deckhand, first mate and skipper on many different yachts. His experiences include sailing as a crew member during the « Voiles de Saint-Tropez » races on S/y OISEAU DE FEU in 2011, and being the skipper onboard S/Y KANDOR on her transatlantic crossing from the Bahamas to the Balearics.

Job description
As First Mate Edouard has the expertise required to stand in for Captain in his absence, acting as second in command. He assists the Captain during navigation and participates in all on-deck operations, respecting guest’s activities. He has extensive knowledge of sailing yachts maintenance and is responsible for the running of deck equipment and machinery.

Olivia Beaumelou - Chief Stewardess

Nationality: French/American

Olivia has always been close to the industry, living between Florida and South of France.
With her bubbly and caring personality, Olivia was a project manager and producer for a technology company for 3 years, however her first passion was always the sea. Her curiosity and need for adventure made her jump ship and start her career in yachting. She quickly gained some experience on various yachts. With a hard-working attitude and ability to deliver great service, she aims to make sure that your stay on FANCY will be the most remarkable experience. In her spare time, she enjoys sports, reading books and swimming in the ocean.

Lena Le Meillour - Stewardess

Nationality: French

Lena grew up in Brittany with sailing at the heart of her lifestyle. Fluent in French and English with some notion of Spanish, she is able to communicate and integrate wherever she goes. Lena has some solid experience in the hospitality sector prior to starting in yachting. She has now gained some sailing experience on various boats and is keen to learn more. She is passionate and thrives on the small details and guests’ satisfaction. She is always happy and purposeful; she loves to be active and has a great work ethic.
