Rene is an experienced yacht captain with a long background in navigating the Adriatic and guiding guests through its most beautiful destinations. Easy-going, communicative, and naturally confident on the sea, he creates a relaxed atmosphere on board while keeping safety and professionalism at the highest level.
He speaks English and Italian fluently, and also knows a bit of Spanish, which helps him connect effortlessly with international guests. His cheerful attitude and approachable nature make everyone feel welcome from the moment they step on Lady Lona.
Before becoming a captain, Rene was a dedicated water polo player, a sport that strengthened his discipline, teamwork, and quick decision-making - qualities that now translate into exceptional seamanship. Skilled, attentive, and always prepared, he ensures that every moment on board runs smoothly.
Rene’s greatest priority is that his guests truly enjoy their time on Lady Lona. He listens carefully to their wishes, adapts plans with ease, and puts genuine care into creating an unforgettable charter experience. With him at the helm, you’re in excellent hands.

Yacht terms: Plus Expenses
The price includes a professional crew operating your chartered yacht, but all running expenses such as fuel, tax, provisions and any other costs are extra. Calculate between 20-30% for a sailing yacht and 30-40% for a motor yacht on top of the given rate with an APA cash payment made to the ships agent or captain, who will keep an open tap and produce full accounts of all expenditures.
